He IS the bets in the 80s. Better than Artemov, lyukihin or Korolev (they are VERY good as well). He could hv won in Seoul if not for the fall in high bar. He won bronze though. LOVE gymnastic in the 80s (both men and women)
Griffinity: you are quite right. I'll even go so far as to say that he's the greatest ever even without going to Los Angeles or Montreal. He's my favorite, too. :)

He was definitely the best. I loved him so much!! Loved watching every performance, really the most talented male gymnast of all time, in my opinion.

He would have gone down as the best Male Gymnast of all time...if 1.) 1984 Games were not boycotted and 2.) if he hadn't had that accident in 85.
He is still my favorite!

This was the last meet befor his accident. I remember watching them the day befor the meet. The whole team was amazing.
