In the book, the other mother got upset at Coraline's manners, put away her cockroaches, had grown taller, and took Coraline over to the mirror. As punishment, she pushed her in the mirror, leaving her within the dark wardrobe behind. Since it was pitch-black, Coraline felt around and found the three other kids, who talked like medieval times (ie "Art thou alive?").

i guess they did it differently with more glowing in the movie because in a movie it would be hard to express feeling around in pitch black.

Its about a girl who is bored with her parents and finds another world through the wall where everything is better and with two other parents who are more fun and have black buttons for eyes,but they say she can't stay unless she sews buttons onto her face.This leads to Coraline saying no and the other mother kidnapping her real parents.

Well its not "Claymation" Its stop motion animation, which involves puppets, no parts of which are made from clay. Also the clip comes from Neil Gaimans blog.

I have read the book. They are locked in a small cupboard. The room is not that big. And coraline does not have stars on her jumper.
