  • bellissimo! whtat's the age of the plane?

  • @graolo Hi there. The G46 first flew in 1946, and production terminated in 1952. I dont know about this specific aircraft though Im afraid.

  • Thanks for sharing this. The bird has surprising go. There was one I got an up close look at over at Republic, and it was purportedly airworthy, but I never saw it fly.

  • did this plane compare with me or fw?

  • @Rico8458 It's Absolutely not comparable to them, because it was just a trainer, it has Gypsy Queen or an Alfa Romeo engine, with 250-215 hp. Despite of the low power, it's faster than a t6 Texan and with an excellent maneuverability.

In Italy there're 3 of them in perfect flying condition, one of property of the IAF, plus a private owner who's restoring a fourth one. With a little more powerful engine it would have been a great plane, with very good performance!

  • My family used to own the Fiat G46 and restored it to the condition you see it now though unfortunatly we had to sell it.

And no it is not a copy it is the only one flying in the UK, at least i think it still is as i haerd the engine finaly went!
