hey nice video! watch my videos of racing our grizzly 660s and a 700 grizzly against sport quads on and off the track. my videos show the log section of the off road. watch grizzlys take on the sport quads on the logs
Nice vid, i bought an 03 kodiak 450 the thing is great never gets stuck, I wanted to get the 05 with the IRS but it was to pricy so i got the 03 and the solid axle doesnt do a thing
doent the water get in to the bearings and rust out the bike what about the cv joints mine have leaked and i had to get them channged nice bike i have the same but mine is blue.
Yeah, they really angered some people blocking it off- wish they would have said it was due to construction. The little bowls are semi blocked off, but I think it was just to define the trail a bit. You can still get to them.
its funny i just found this video, right as i am leaving comment i am loading a video of us in this exzact pit riding through this water hole and the trail way over with all the mud holes...sadly this pit is now blocked off thanks to fish and game.....
Seems to still be same as mine, except smaller motor and no diff lock. I am sure there may be a few other minor differences. I know about the name change, I put 3200 miles on my Kodiak 450 before I sold it to get this one!
Used to be only BigBear 400, Kodiak 400, Kodiak 450, and Grizzly 660.
All the new machines, I've been too focused on my Griz 450 not remember that everything is now a Griz or a big bear, no more kodiak... I loved that name. Bruin on the other hand... not so fond of that name!
only thing i ahte about my 400 is it gets high centerd!

My first ATV was a brand new Kodiak 450, '03.
Trust me, you can get that rear axle to work for you.
Soften it up, and lean hard into the corners!

Yes it will eventually get in the bearings, but I consider that normal wear and better bearings later on.

what do u think has better resale yamaha or honda?
northkellyrednecks 4 years ago
Not a clue really, but as far as I am concerned I buy my vehicles for the long run, so resale means nothing to me.
In the car world, Honda has a high resale, but- I hate them. Thanks for watching.

woudnt that be a kodiak?
northkellyrednecks 4 years ago
Used to be the Kodiak - then they made the Kodiak with IRS (Independant Rear Suspension) then renamed it the Grizzly and added the Grizzly style.
All their utility quads are now Grizzly's and Big Bears, just different sizes.
PS- I put over 3,300 miles on my 03 Kodiak 450, and sold it for $2,000... :)

really!!! so is that why they had those rocks and boulders and stuff in front of it?? is the new bridge replacing the old one and is it longer???

really!!! did they make a longer bridge that covers the shallow water section after the bridge that was there before???
kawfox9 4 years ago
Yes, it is MUCH bigger, well built too.
Great in the snow!
