I mean to each his own, but this is my favorite roller coaster of all. It was my first and still remains at the top even after Intimidator and all...it's just fun. EVERY time. The most I get at a theme park is tired of standing in line never really got a headache, but I can see how it happens for some.
This is one fast B&M coaster. I liked riding it during HAUNT because it's nice and dark and there is fog in the air. This is one of the best B&M's I have been on.
All the steel coasters at King's Dominion are pretty smooth except the Anaconda. You're sitting down fully inside the car and your head slams from side-to-side. I NEVER get sick on coasters, but that one got me really close. If you want to have your back cracked and your neck snapped, ride either the Hurler or the Grizzly. If your body can take the beating, the thrill of feeling like the train will fly off the track any second is well worth it. :)
@SpringfieldGarand Only part of the Anaconda that makes me hurt is after the first pit stop when you do the double helix thing and you go back under the track for a second before the double corkscrew.
like all your videos ironwulfx but i have to say i've been on this coaster 9 times this year and every ride was smooth and fantastic. if you are going to ride this don't worry about it because it's not rough at all. Intimidator 305 is way rougher as well as all the older wooden and steel coasters. B&M makes the smoothest coasters around and i have yet to ride a rough b&M.
@dandaman247 When the ride first opened it had hard OTSR which banged your head on the twisties. Since then they have changed the restraints to soft black straps to avoid this issue. I don't know if you rode it with the red hard restraints but yes they gave many many people headaches
@VTkillabee1 Ah, yeah I was there a couple weekends ago and rode it for the first few times. Definitely a significant improvement from what you are describing. Idk...I have no problems on Anaconda so I'm biased when people complain about headaches...I'm having too much fun to worry about that! (I do usually lean forward in the seat which seems to help a lot of the jolting on that ride tho)

@6flgslover Naturally most B&M's are fantastically smooth. "Like Buttah" as my friends would say. Now, of all people, someone with 53 original coaster uploads on YouTube may know a thing or two about headaches. Luckily I've gotten to a point where they don't affect me as much, but in this case scenario, the turns, stops, and twists were a bit jerky.
It could be argued that the coaster is in fact smooth, but changes directions so suddenly, one's neck is unable to compensate quickly enough.

I had no problem with this ride when I went this past weekend. It was smooth, like Keith Stone.
But naw, the only thing I've ridden more comfortable than this bad boy was the Intimidator 305! :)
