  • @pamdharmadi Interesting!

  • On Skyfm a UK record producer just said that todays music is SHIT.....the best music was in the 70's and 80's.....he also said that they had pressure to not change directions into a more quality and happier music....that sucks.

  • I'm strolling down memory lane tonight...

  • I miss the 80's when music was music.

  • oh, dear.....Steve Castallac and AFN - Berlin are back.

  • I remember this!!! I like this - it sorta sounds like the dance group " High Fashion's Feelin Lucky Lately" - I had to listen closely at first. Wow - this is some good music. Thanks for posting.

  • This song is AWESOME!!! I haven't heard it in years!!!!

  • @ilcatracho I have airchecks I recorded 30 years ago of this song on KTU, WBLS, and the new FM99, which a few months later changed it's name to 98.7 KISS FM. Looking back now, I wish I had recorded more late 70's, early 80's NYC radio.

  • @ebfeaster

I remember all those radio stations! Nothing like that today! Wasn't one of the radio stations DJ's named Paco?

  • baby is this you i hope so been missing your incredible music if not thanks for the great trax they bring this old boy back to the day

  • Nice beat....makes you want to get up and dance...love it!

  • This is the greatest Disco funk hit ever it's so catchy and danceable and makes everybody happy and in a joyful mood...I was Dj-ing from 1981 to 1996 but this tune still brings a lot of people to the floor!! So many glad memories of this!! LOVE BBQ Band wherever u are today!!

  • Those were the days this is the real voice of disco's those times

  • Sorry to say this isn't and never will be disco. This is classic old school house music. This jam was being played in house parties when I was young. It might be catergorized as disco but its not. Way to good a good a Beat and rhythim.

  • @OSG805 House music wasn't even being called house music until years later, this is 80s Club Disco, falls into line with guys like Change, Junior, D-Train, Rick Astley, and Shalamar. Lots of synthesizers and that awesome Italo feel.

  • @BalooRJ Don't know where ur from but this was house music not disco. Shalamar, Change that was classic house music i heard at house parties. As far as Rick Astley goes that was late 80's not late 70's. That tells me how well you know your music.

  • I <3 this song

    long live music DISCO!

  • Just by listening to this song, you are automatically da man.

  • I genuinely believe the 2 who dislike mistakenly pressed the wrong button, cos this shit is absofuckinglutely bloodclot hot. Ain't no joke and the MIX, Phew just forget it. OUT 'O' SIGHT. Blessup. Peace

  • This song is a true classic of the disco sound. Disco music was

made for one reason..dancing. All the people who claim "Disco Sucks"

should of taken dance lessons, maybe they would have a different opinion.

  • THXXXXXXXXX GRANDMASTERGUESS I m looking over a year after this song big thx :)

  • nice !

  • This is the remix extra loud claps and congas..not as good as the original mix! Class tune though.

  • SO' JE T'AIME :coeur:

  • MANNNN.... I was 10 yrs.old in the Bronx on skates!!! My big bro and kid capri were practicing their hiphop skills(When HipHop REQUIRED SKILLS) The best times!!

Never knew who made this song, thanks for posting:)

  • @walkertroy11 It's made by the same people behind the band Change; they were Italian who worked with New York session musicians. Mauro Malavasi, Davide Romani on bass were the producers

  • I remember hearing this blasting out from Groove Records in Soho, London, UK really brings back some memories

  • This jam is off the chain...I heard it today coming back from work on WBLS from New York...I just had to hear it again.

  • WBAV-FM in Charlotte got me hooked onto this song back in 2001...it was on regular rotation there.

  • This is feel good music right here. This song was played at ev'ry Summer Block Party in my neighborhood. It was all about having a good time and enjoying yourself. Damn, I miss those days.

  • This reminds me of my youngest son when he was 3 years old. He loved this song. I can still hear his little voice, "It's only up the street..." RIP David - miss you - love you.

  • In my opinion, this is the ultimate discosong in the entire universe. ' Cause it makes

me smile and it upgrades every mood. Just love BB & Q band.

  • When this shit came out boy O boy, times were good, music was tight and those times will live with me forever, not a lot of the stuff thats manufactured now. I mean Curtis Hairston, Loose Ends, Cashmere, Central line, I-Level, Cameo, Dynasty, GQ, Bobby Nun, Ritchie Family and of course Marvin Gaye, Melba Moore Oliver Cheatham for "Saturday night" or "Bless the Ladies". Those were special times, If you don't believe have a listen to these names, they were BAAAAD

    ON THE BEAT FOREVER!

  • bring the funk back thats all i can say

  • @GrandMasterGuess : I heard that. This is the shit.

  • bella, ritmo coinvolgente dall'inizio alla fine, bel pezzo

  • The whole world was "on the beat" while BB & Q and so many other great groups were supplying the groove! After work every Friday, it was, "happy hour", gettin' the straight jump on the weekend! The "fun quotient" had pegged the needle! In less than 30 minutes, work was but a mere speck in our rear view mirror. We were, yet again, takin' a big bite of the "Good Life!!"

  • LOVE the analog synthesizers

  • I was all over Germany when this came out. Good damn music!!!!

  • I too never got to dance to this song. When I got my fake ID and started going to discos this song was not played anymore. Got to dance to Rick James, Evelyn "Champagne" King and many others but I missed my opportunity to dance to this song because I was still 13... :-)

  • @GrandMasterGuess

13?! Shiiiiitt? I'm only 25, but shit...thats some shit. Gangta!

  • @GrandMasterGuess ...but this one was out the same year as a lot of Rick James and Evelyn King, (1981). I was also young but we didn't need a club to dance to this... just the boom box and the back patio or a weekend block party.

  • @djJackMF yes!!

  • When I was your age I tried out as a d.j. The owner of the club said it like it was. Music is the drug to make the people dance. If you could keep them dancing you've made people happy, they will come back to you and they will follow you. He was right ...but I did not get the job I was only 17. The greatest time of my life thanks to dance music.

p.s. 'til today I am 49 and still drug free and dancing

    Have fun

  • hey thanks man, I appreciate it, it must have been amazing to have lived at that time at such an age.

    cheers

    -Joel

  • @spr11ng Sorry to hear you couldn't make it. I succeeded at it. 'been a DJ for 3-4 years back in 83-87. It was exactly as he put it. The nights I was hot, people would pay me drinks and get their songs played even sweat was beading down their forehead, they would go back and dance some more. LOL

But I grew older and needed to start a carreer out of the Club scene. Am now 44.
