I personally think they've gotten stagnant with ideas for fresh humor, so I've moved to more obscure reviewers who actually have to work to find their audience.

If you had done your research, you would know that AVGN teased a ROB review at the end of his NES Accessories video about a month BEFORE the Irate Gamer did his ROB review

Actually, back in 2008, AVGN made a video about NES Accesories and at the end, he said he had missed R.O.B, but would do a review of him later on.
However, after that, a review on R.O.B was posted by the Irate Gamer.

1- Youtube uploads are not correspondent to the original video's release ( you may find the original in cinemassacre's website... well, the link, the video is on screwattack)
2- Even if the irate gamer's review came first, avgn's acessories review came first, which actually hinted towards a ROB review. plus, the reviews aren't even that similar, they may focus on the same points but have diferent insights.

The biggest issue that people have against 'Irate Gamer' is he word-for-word rips off AVGN's jokes. Some examples:
Cowafuckinpieceofdogshit - that's something that AVGN made up for his TMNT (NES) review, since he has the original script document date to prove it (which he showed in one of his behind-the-scenes vids).
Posafuckinabsolutelynot - something IG said in his Mission Impossible (NES) review which was said earlier by AVGN in other vids.
IG = ripoff.
AVGN = awesome.

ok to end this freaking war over avgn and ig i think i have to do some comparing:
the avgn on one side review the game itself(means he looks at the sound gameplay and grafik of the game)
the ig on the other side does a little backstory behind the games(and he only reviews games) and than reviews the game itself like the avgn.
the avgn reviews consoles and the ig reviews new generation games.
and the final thing is: they just review games with their own opinion and style and no one is better
