im not aboriginal im Filipino but i like the way they dance thanks to my cousin leaving in Australia but she is filipino like me i really appreciate this :D
@OzPix First off I want to sincerely thank you for this upload
I have a serious question, do you know what the name of the particular dance from crocodile dundee is called? it's tempo is extremely similar to this but i cannot find it anywhere
@sn1pe352 Hi Nicholas, Glad you enjoyed the show. I don't know the name of the Crocodile Dundee music that you refer to but I think it may have been an original composition by Peter Best who did all the music for that film and many other Australian films. You may also be interested to know that I was the Visual Effects Supervisor on that movie, and met up with Mick Dundee (Hogan) and his crew. It was a fun movie to be involved in... Hope this helps you to find the music...
@OzPix oh wow that's absolutely incredible man, MANY thank you's for your input into one of the greatest movies ever made, it has had such a profound impact on my life i cannot even begin to explain it
As for the musical compositions they are all incredible, but i was referring to the aboriginal dance scene in the first movie when sue was spying on Dundee and the aboriginals
I hear it was called the crocodile dance or something of that nature but cannot find it for the life of me, thank you
@sn1pe352 Do a search on Peter Best and you may find the track you are looking for on his Croc Dundee album as he was responsible for all the music in the film...Good luck
This dance was freakin' awesome...and these were old dudes! Just imagine what the younger men can do!! I'm not an Aboriginee but I'm still a black....a black sista that is...from VA, USA. Blackfellas gettin' down!! I find myself movin & boppin to their rhythms, like I want to get in and dance too. I'd love to visit Australia and watch these people break it down!!
@rsa95 Aboriginal dances are mostly based on "Legends of the Dreamtime" - or aspects of hunting. This dance is more the latter with dancers basing movements on the Emu, Brolga & Kangaroo
@OzPix I guess dreaming is good when you have no cognitive functions My God we are being far to kind to these worthless bunch, however although I see no zero talent in this or any real culture except for a primal scream 2 year olds do when they are overtired. The PM MR Rudd is typical of us whites forgiving and giving and allow robbing and horrle ugl racial hatred from abos for much longer and far worse than their own claims gainst the british.Time for a sorry from Abo's
Respond to this video... I can dance like a kangaroo too..even better my friends tell me..wake up Be honest what white person can honestly say that they have meet a aboriginal capable of respecting them as they have respected the abo?It is my opinion and I know secretly of many that they are the most worthless bunch of people on earth
Respond to this video... Common people Ive tried to be kind to Aboriginals as well and tried to value their art culture...but anyone with any eye for real talent can see THEY have very little to offer.Stop humoring these bunch of no hoper's,take all Gov support and let them take care of our land..wonder around and dance like emu's...Ive never meet one worth anything to anyone yet
Respond to this video... Dreamtime =before white taught abo's how to think..no thoughts may seem like living in a dream.aboriginal art=a bunch of racists who can paint a dot or many then wont allow any other real artist to use a dot...I wonder why?Abo' dance..look at it really people...no thoughts and the very talented of them and brightest learn t to dance imitating an emu.Even nature doesn't like them to "throw back"...most of them drain us all dry financially
Respond to this video... The cultural significance is not yet understood by an abo.A normally progressed human being may say that they are worthless and there is nothing of value in anything they do,except to try and make us pay up our hard earned money to see there rubbish.Waste of time,go pay for something worthwhile..
Mate.. this is so cool... Even though im a NewZealander i have so much respect for aboriginals... No offense white aussies are nice... but i personally think they dont respect the aboriginals enuf ae. :D SWEET i love this
THe instruments used were Didgeridoo and clap sticks. I know these blokes personally, this was performed at the Dreamtime Culture Centre in Rockhampton, Queensland...
We only photographed the show. Our guess would be the first guy with his hand pointed out from his head is probably an Emu. The hopping would be Kangaroo's or Wallaby's and the flapping arms could be a big bird like a Brolga. Maybe other viewers can add to this...
