  • Goddamn lazy assassin leaving us with this asshole for another eight years.

  • That Agent deserves a medal

  • I think this assassination attempt was a perfect metaphor for Reagen's foreign policy: Let the young guy take a bullet for you.

  • cracked

  • Looks like it's gonna be me who posts the token 'Cracked brought me here' comment then.

  • Hooray for the agent who took the bullet for Reagan

  • get a silencer or some thing need some tips play all the hitman games it realy makes you more wiser in life

  • @hairball2047 I loled

  • awesome

  • the guy with the gun should have been checked. he was way to close to him. i mean c,mon. its easy to spot a random guy with a blank look on his face. just check the peaple tht are within 100 feet of him. im sure the secret service is smarter now though

  • @jeffman1900 They were pry in on it

  • In Soviet Russia, President assasinates you!

  • Like Bill Hicks said...

We live in world that murders the good guys and lets the demons run amok. Jesus - murdered; Martin Luther King - murdered; Gandhi - murdered; John Lennon - murdered; Reagan - wounded. Cancer eight times, no that fucker still walks doesn't he? That guy is Jason man. If you could take of that hockey mask just once your going to hear......"Well I'm back."

  • he went against the elites, thats the penalty of going against them

  • @YESobamaCANfuckupUSA, in what possible way did he "go against the elites?" I can't imagine a president who was more protective of the interests of those in the upper tiers of wealth and power. I realize he thought that was the way to spur growth, which I personally disagreed with, but he definitely didn't go against the elite.

And people can debate Kennedy, but an untrained wacko with a .22 cal pistol shooting wildly from behind a wall of people, no way in hell that was a professional job.

  • achually JFK had a call or somthing that he was gonna get shot if he went to dallas

  • Rawhide Down is a wonderful book that takes you behind the scenes in great detail.

  • I don't know too many 70-year olds who can take a slug that close to the heart and survive. God bless you sir, you were one of the best.

  • I just got back from a weekend stay at the Washington Hilton Hotel and, although I detested Mr. Reagan's policies (for which we're paying dearly for even today), I don't think any true American would want to see harm come to any of our Chief Executives. Oddly, there is no historical marker of any kind at the hotel's ballroom entrance. They've erected a garage on the site so future incidents could be avoided but I thought there'd be at least a marker - it is, after all, part of history.

  • I think of that day so often and thanks to youtube I can watch this over and over again and watch the heroism of an agent who swore to do his duty, did it and could have been in a grave for such.

  • And to think I hadn't seen this footage before.. Thanks for the excellent video.

  • Lets get serious here. McCarthey didnt even have time to think about "covering" for Reagan. He simply heard the shot and turned....while he still is a hero I dont think he "threw" his body that way to cover reagan. There was no human way for him to think that fast in 1/2 second.

  • Did you Know. You face the death penalty for aiding and abiding and conspiracy of an abonimal invasive organism! Genocide of mankind. I can tell you right now you are an latrodectus mactan in symbiosism with an invasive amphibian with a human appearance skellatle and synthetic hide. Soon the remaining presidents the secret service and YOU! Will face chrages and similar ones with death penalty offenses.

  • God bless McCarthy for taking the bullet trying to protect President Reagan. It's so said that Brady suffered permanent brain damage.

Gosh, I thought liberals were peace loving people.....

  • :D

  • @fasfsdfasd Dictators go well beyond what a politician should be and I would agree with that.Alot of politicians are rotten or just not good for that position and thats when the people can just vote them out but when dictators rule. Most of the time there is no rule just their command and it can often be hell on earth. So I agree that they should be fair game.

  • Thank god Reagan didn`t die.He gave Americans fairly good and mostly great years in that decade as president.Unlike Kennedy.Reagan lived his full terms. No man or women in that or any position in politics should ever be assasinated wheather you love them or despise them.

  • The secret service is so bad-ass. The cop immediately cowers. And where the hell did mustache-man pull that huge gun from?!

  • @professor314 what a stupid comment "cop cowers"what would you do if somebody was shooting a gun towards you.dont forget a cop took a bullet that day allso, ass hole

    '

  • MKUTRA-trained John Hinkey Must kill for Jodi, Must kill for Jodie Must kill for Jodie.

Nance ordered out all SS from the hospital. She had 18 years from the naval yard guarding her husband because she knew/knows what all the sheep dont want to know. Why is there a beat-up old Lincoln blocking the way of the friggin presidential car? Reagan said he didnt feel the pain of "Hinkley's bullet" until after the SS guard tackled him into the back seat? A kinder gentler cou de tate

  • @inspectorcritic You DO know you could spend up to five years in federal prison JUST for that obscene comment, correct? Disgusting

  • @VincePalamara

really? you can go to jail for youtube comments?

  • @VincePalamara rofl glad I dont live in your barbaric country. I mean it's an absurd comment but... prison? haahhahaha, oh boy.

  • @goodflo911 yep, prison---the Secret Service does NOT take any threats lightly. That said, you are right---by and large, this is a barbaric country :)

  • @VincePalamara In earlier days when your country's major movie studios could still be taken serious, a movie called three days of the condor was released. I was reminded of it by your comment about secret services just now.

The question when overnment is still serving the people who pay for it is always important. Although the USA citizens wish small government and (rightfully), their xenophobia & gullibility gives their government free play to absolve crucial (international) civil rights.

  • @VincePalamara Although definitely something could be said for inciting hate. Political assasinations happen way too much in your country, and the ''just words'' argument doesnt hold up well versus people like hitler (just words), or that hate campaign against that US senator/local govt. woman that got shot in the face.

Words have weight when used in the public domain, and I can't completely disagree with your prior comment. I do think it's obvious this guy was just making an absurdist remark.

  • @VincePalamara The people who run it are,(The Elite), not the country itself or the people. The elite need to all die for what their planning to do to us all. It's time we stand up to them before it's too late.

  • @inspectorcritic I will add that there are agents who patrol the web for such threats... your IP(s), proxy, whatever, has already been tracked... info already pulled. May God show you love to replace the hatred you display.

  • @MsJH95 Right now the secret service can be indited for the abonimation of mankind and put to death for their conspiracy to let an invasive species take control over humanity and eradicate it.

  • @inspectorcritic Learn how to spell.

  • @inspectorcritic I forwarded this to the Secret service. Simple IP trace enjoy your 20 years in jail. Look it up

  • @inspectorcritic Wow, you have a very special form of psychosis, dementia and schizophrenia. You definitely need to see a psychologist immediately otherwise you'll be commited.

Seriously man, you need psychological help and a lot of medication.

  • @karadan100 drop dead you piece of faggot shit. If I catch you I'll crush your skull take your brain out put it in a pickle jar then shrink you fucking ugly head!

  • @inspectorcritic I rest my case, you delusional lunatic.

  • @inspectorcritic You fucking dumbass if there were no presidents you wouldnt have a job or house, now tell me how do you think your mom or dad gave you food on the table every single day and you lived under a roof, and before you go commenting retarded things like this

  • @inspectorcritic

    I think you mean "vile"

  • I couldnt stand Reagan, still, I prayed for him and the others who were shot.

  • Who thumbed this video down?? ...The assassin still exists!

  • they react so fast... by the time the last shot is fired reagan is almost in the limo (that was the shot that hit him) and then he s out of there in like 15 seconds....

  • President Kennedy was a very nice man, was NOT difficult to protect, and NEVER ordered the agents off the rear of his limousine (nor did his staff). The buck stops with the Secret Service. Don't believe any books by former agents trying to say otherwise!

  • President Reagan. The best ever! Too bad his not our president now.

  • I think I had a bad day at work! Yeah, I've never been shot at.

  • How was your day at work.

  • Reagan didn't deserve protection that good.

  • The most amazing thing in this video is the reaction of the secret service/bodyguard guy. In a split second his reaction is to make himself wider to get hit by the bullet, acting like a human body armor. That's what it's all about being the president's bodyguard. Very very proffesional!

  • @MrKingElvis yes...unlike the total bums in Dallas on 11/22/63

  • @VincePalamara I read your bio on your channel.I was wondering with all the info that you posted about yourself, what is the truth about President Kennedy's assassination or what do you think is the truth.

  • @MrKingElvis What the SS did that day was stage a shooting gallery. Reagan's entire left side was opened up before the shot. A beat-up Lincoln was parked 10 feet from the door, blocking the way of the presidential limo. All SS guards staged directly in front of Hinkley to avoid being shot. Nancy would not let the SS anywhere near her husband. She ordered the SS out, and had 18 year olds from the naval yard serve as armed guards. Reagan felt no pain until after SS guard tackled him into limo

  • @MrKingElvis yeah and on sunday morning it said he wasnt even working that day!

  • Amazing! note at 00:54 plus, how everyone is stunned. Instinctively, human nature forces us to duck, and crouch (eg. SFPD - not to slam on local PD) .....then look at how the US Secret Service get into the shield and push mode instead.

This just reinforces the importance of training excellence that only true professionals understand and appreciate.

  • thanks for uploading this :)

  • @Kuggar my pleasure :O) I spoke to the agent who pushed Reagan into the limo, SAIC Jerry Parr, back in Nov. 1995; great guy

  • If this happened in 1981 why at 2:20 is there a 98-2002 pontiac ws6 firebird?

  • @rzmnco that's the reenactment part.

  • Idiot, that's a dramatization

  • lol--my sentiments exactly :)

  • @VincePalamara Do you know who the man with the glasses was who tended to James Brady? He is seen in one video saying "Can I get a handkerchief?"

  • @SecretService80 Mike Wallace

  • lol---no. Not sure

  • No, It's not. Nice try, though.

  • Ya know, I don't know where MY comment went to, but as far as I'm concerned ok, Take your "EBONICS" and stick'em so far up your ass it'll tickle your tonsils! also, are you supposed know something about secret service? If you are secret service, then how does it feel to protect criminals? Don't tell me they aren't, because they display it blatently ALL the time. The country is in this shape because of the Politicians! So FUCK YOU!! And "YOU" STOP waisting space!!!!

  • 1) Read my profile to know I'm NOT an SS Agent.

    2) You have terrible grammar.

3)You really got pissed off. How does it feel to have anger issues? =)

  • 1-I don't give ANY shits about your fucked up profile! 2- I don't give a FUCK about ANY politician. 3-NONE of them are any good!! They ALL are so full of shit it comes out their ears! 4-WHO gives a fuck about my grammar? 5-I didn't get pissed off...That was A TASTE of my attitude!!! Stop sucking your mams dick and fuck off!!!!!!!!!! You gave ME an attitude to begin with so I gave YOU double of what YOU gave ME!

  • Someone's bipolar...relax. You're probably some 12-year-old who thinks swearing is mature. Just fuck off. I'm tired of you, you are dismissed.

    :O Oh, no I didn't!

  • Wow. Almost 30 years later and it still brings tears to my eyes and I can feel my heart in my throat. What a sicko Hinckley is. Thank God everyone lived, though it's sad what happened to Brady.

  • why didnt they just kill hinkley on the spot?

  • Because there is such a thing as Due Process and civil rights and decency LOL. Having said all that, IF Hinckley was CLEARLY visible to an agent and he would have STILL been firing, perhaps he would have been shot. The Secret Service believes in "cover and evacuate", first and foremost

  • The brother of Hinckley jr was to meet G.H.W Bush's son Neil (George jr's brother) for dinner around this time.

It is pretty interesting that Bush financial supporter (during run against Reagan) and family friend has a son who shoots the president (would have promoted G.H.W Bush to pres.)

It's even more interesting that this seems to get little attention or investigation (Houston Post article ... not much else).

  • Part of this movie is reenacted. at 2:21 there is a late model trans am which could only be from 1998 or newer.

  • No---this is the actual footage :O)

  • good eyes, a ws6

  • Oh, ok, let me clear that up--it is a mixture of genuine footage (which many millions of people know and recognize) with reenactment video

  • Your offensive comment deserves reply: African American hero (and former NFL player) C. Danny Spriggs, now an Assistant Director of the Service, was decorated for his valor that day (he's the man in the suit with the pistol shouting "Get him out!" at around the :44 point onward). African American Larry Cockell, also now an Assistant Director, was head of Clinton's detail, while African American Reggie Moore later performed the same functions.

  • @VincePalamara

The one who really stood out was Spriggs. He took control of the situation. Bravo.

  • @Dreamsdenied Yes: former NFL player and later Asst Director :)

  • that was sick

  • ss at 347 Uzis!

  • That Secret Service dude instinctively took a bullet meant for the President.

  • george h w bush got away with it on kennedy. blose but no cigar this time, huh?

    check into the bush/hinckley family ties. G H W bush is a bad mo-fo.

  • yup job well done

  • Tim McCarthy is only one of two SS agents to take a bullet for the Prez.

  • Who was the other one?

  • Nick Zarvos took a bullet for candidate George Wallace in '72, while Uniformed Officers were shot and/ or killed during the attempt on Truman's life in 1950

  • Correct, but Mr. Palamara is right, Nicholas Zarvos took a bullet in the neck meant for George Wallace in his 1972 campaign when Arthur Bremer shot at him. Also, Alabama trooper E.C. Dothard was shot as well as Dora Thompson, a Wallace supporter and campaign volunteer.

  • The Secret Service rocks!

  • What kind of an asshole will want to assassinate Ronald Reagan? He's like the best president the U.S. has had. The Secret Service agents in this video truly displayed courage, and their loyalty to their duty of protecting the president. These men, in the Secret Service, should be honored for their courageous acts in protecting a president, and their loyalty to their duty.

  • evidence?

  • @Kilotrot Reagan the best President? Reagan was actually the worst President we had

Just about everything wrong in present America can be contributed to his administration

But all the Oil Men, War Profiteers, Trust Fund babies and other Corrupt Wall Street type have made Reagan out to be a god, so I wont argue with them

  • @HateRepublicans Feel free to present some of the things that are wrong with this country that you attribute to Reagan. The fact of the matter is, President Carter is to blame for much of the trouble we have today, particularly with the Middle East. Clinton's policies did nothing to continue the stimulating effect that Reagan's policies had on the economy. Rather, Clinton was President during a time of technological Renaissance. Be prepared to support the statements you make.

  • @Kilotrot

    Get a clue

    Regean was a terrible president.

A hand picked hollywood actor that did whatever the Elite/NWO/Globalists told him to do.

  • @tzolkin2013 Haha, wtf!!! You don´t know nothing about history man!! He done, so much for prosperity and international peace! More than all presidents before him. You are so stupid!

  • @Kenigsn, what history are you going off of? During the 80s we put Noriega into power, funded violent guerillas in Nicaragua, invaded Grenada (for no good reason), and supported Iraq while Kurds were gassed. For me there was good and bad with Reagan, but did more for prosperity and international peace than any president before him? That's a really odd claim. It's not as though his economic policies generated that much success. As for int'l peace, I have no idea what you are going for there.

  • Tim McCarthy is a hero. My question is what the hell are all the people doing standing there with video cameras?

  • McCarthy is an awsome man......he actually shielded ronald regan....i would have ran like a lil bitch

  • There are no words I can say that can describe my admiration for this unique group of invidividuals who do not hesitate to put themselves in the line of fire to save the President's life.

These are really the true unsung heroes and they deserve all the respect in the world no matter what.

    God bless the Secret Service!

  • nice comment :)

  • Beta

Isn't it amazing that someone can be so well-trained and disciplined--and self-sacrificing--that he'll turn INTO a spray of bullets without thinking about it, in order to do his job?

Tim McCarthy is a great man.

  • When I see all the agents literally save President Reagan's life , this proves to me , that these brave and wonderful men are unsung heroes and always deserve our respect and gratitude. To see that beautiful man , agent Mc Carthy I believe, stand there to protect Mr. Reagan and take a bullet , breaks my heart , brings tears to my eyes... if you can , please , send him my best regards and I will pray for him always. Den

  • Will do! :)

  • Thank you so much , Vince! If people would only take a minute of their time and write to their government , to thank, the Secret Service for all the fine work they do .. it would be so wonderful. These fine men and women put their lives on the line much more often than we think , and to me , they are TRUE GUARDIAN ANGELS.. take care too , Vince and thank you for sharing the wonderful work these extraordinary people do.. Den

  • I worked as a volunteer with the Secret Service at a W rally in my city. When briefing us of procedure they explained about all of the crap they have to go through to protect the President, and what dumb SHIT people will do to try to get their point across! I was surprised at how professional these people were and yet they were all very personable. They Serve With Honor!!

  • @winningsmile222

Amen. What a hero. People look to pro sports for heroes and end up finding some thugs. How about people like McCarthy? He's already earned his cloud in Heaven. Mr. Reagan will be there to greet him. God bless him and the rest of the Secret Service for what they did that day.

  • I never comment on videos, but Agents McCarthy and Parr are true heroes. This video brought a tear to my eye.

  • Thanks alot. I agree: God Bless McCarthy & Parr. I spoke to Parr at length in 1995; great guy :)

  • @VincePalamara

No kidding? Wow. I went to a Bush campaign rally in 1994. They screen you very well now. Of course, I'm already on file with FBI because of my concealed carry so I've already had my background checked but I have no problem with them checking my things to make sure I am no threat to the president or a presidential candidate. Nobody should have a problem with it.

  • Thanks Vince...

  • thank you :)

  • i was four. this is one of my first memories of things going on in the world.

  • Honorable man to say the least. Thank you for sharing.

  • Nice!

  • this is the best clip I have ever seen on the reagan attempt

  • Really, really, really nice vid here :)
