I just got back from a weekend stay at the Washington Hilton Hotel and, although I detested Mr. Reagan's policies (for which we're paying dearly for even today), I don't think any true American would want to see harm come to any of our Chief Executives. Oddly, there is no historical marker of any kind at the hotel's ballroom entrance. They've erected a garage on the site so future incidents could be avoided but I thought there'd be at least a marker - it is, after all, part of history.

When briefing us of procedure they explained about all of the crap they have to go through to protect the President, and what dumb SHIT people will do to try to get their point across!
