  • Damn, that's some MFing bass playing. Can you imaging auditioning for this group and they whip out this tune for you to play! Incredible piece! Must've been amazing to see live.

  • I was at the concert at the KSU Ballroom. John Goodsall did not play but he did play at Filthy McNasty's in Kent about a year earlier. Anyone have that concert?

  • dam, this is faster than Rush, lol

  • @chordsequencer001 There is a lot of shit faster than Rush lol.

  • @chordsequencer001 you ever listen to The Mahavishnu Orchestra?

  • Sweet mother of s**t!! This is like 1.5 times as fast as on the album unorthodox behavior and I thought THAT one had some furious drumming. Christ on a bike.

  • Does anyone think or want Brand X to tour again?

  • @53duby yes please

  • This is classic fusion..!

RIP Morris Pert... You always put on such intense live shows....@^@

  • @mrprogjazzgto Is Pert passed away for real ? when ?

  • @XanAxDdu acording to wikipedia and other articles...April 27 2010 he passed away..

  • I have posted this same tune from the same concert, but it was recorded at regular speed & is much better quality wise

  • Michael Clark on drums

  • Haha. I LOVE this stuff, haven't heard it for years & it's still great!! I must tell you, I'm guessing the "HYPER-SPEED" of this recording is due to a tape speed inaccuracy because they normally played this tune in a 1/2 step lower key than here. If the tape speed was right, it would be in the key they played it in & a bit slower & I think it'd sound even better than here. Cheers

  • whos on the drums on this one

  • @MrRIckmassey

I'm going to guess that it's Dennard as Collins didn't re-join until Product ('79).

  • CIAO BRAND X i'm NUCLEAR BURN L O L FROM ROME, ITALY !!!!!!

  • Jesus, I'm just discovering this particular vid now...3 months after post. Anyway, some good shredding by Peter Robinson.

  • where is john goodsall?

  • He got a bad case of tendonitis in his right arm that laid him up for 18 months. I only know that because I just bought an old issue of Guitar Player (Aug. '80) that had a feature on him.
