  • it should do fine with cut shell at 10 feet to the dome

  • I have one that shoots .410 or 45LC. Your'e right, the gun has some kick! It's an interesting gun. Nice job on the review!!

  • Long live the Republic!

  • That's cool

I've never seen a derringer like that before

Just saw a side by side Cobray 45lc/410 on GB for $145

Had never heard of them before

    Sometimes cheap is okay

You don't need a Rocket Sceintist to change your oil

So why spend $500+ on a 410 derringer

  • where could you purchas the 11" one

  • Everything made by Cobray is junk. Don't waste your money.

  • I just picked up the 11" side by side -- I can't wait to try it out!

  • I just acquired one of these in 357/38 at a gun show. Do you know the value? I actually traded a Marlin Model 60 for it, about 80.00 in value in my area. Thanks

  • This gun in .410 was junk - I gave mine away.

  • idk if thats the same brand but that shit goes for 50 bucks used. illegal. it's sad because it was used in a robbery. looks like it worked well.

  • @lbjoshbal well all illegal gun sales are sad as they are the law criminals get guns which they will probably used to kill

  • @TheAlexagius WHAT????

  • I've got one of these w/out the 22 barrel...killed a skunk with it at kicking distance. Not an experience I want to repeat but it did the trick!

  • Who lets their bloody kid operate firearms?!

  • @MrRussian19 a responsible person... what kinda question is that??

  • @MrRussian19 some one wanting to know how to safly use them

  • hey! man this is gonna sound selfish but i want to debate wheather i should get the leinad revolver you know the one with the manual spin the 22 lr, maybe if you could get that gun and give me your reviews? i want a 22 revolver at around 100-170 dollars thats solid and wont mess up on me and one that parts can be found easily. if the leinad is out of the quiestion...any suggestions?

  • watch your kids

    dont show the gun IDIOT

  • Say, this would make a pretty handy little trail gun for rattlesnakes and such out in the desert. Certainly easier to carry than a Judge and not nearly as pricey as a Bond Arms derringer. Saw one locally the other day for $99. Hmmmm, tempting...

  • where did you get this gun? or does any one know where i can get one?

  • that gun looks like the US army 12guage flare gun.

  • what diffrence it there between a 45long colt ,and a .410slug (2 3/4",3", and 3 1/2").

  • Looks like a fun gun...

  • Even if the "assault weapons" ban made any sense at all nobidy had any reason to sue cobray for this pistol

  • It looks like it is made from some kind of cast metal. If so, that isn't something I would want to shoot.

  • i like to have the judge instead but this would good for carry and concell fire arm

  • this gun have mor personalety then uzi...man...this gun conquer my heart...

  • this gun have mor personalety then uzi

  • easy to make easy to fire

  • can you shoot the 3 in shells outa it or is it only limited to 2.5 and 45lc

  • Great review! Neat little pistol, I just picked up a Cobray double barrel side-by-side gun and it seems like its gonna be a GREAT back-up or boot gun! I wonder what the best load for personal defense is for this piece? Thanks and God Bless.

  • is it any chance if you shoot both barrels at once if using pellets, will the pellets hit the top barrels projectile

  • @emeb1910 You cant shoot both barrels at the same time.

  • loooooool i want an 11 inch one xD

  • I want one... Does that qualify as an AOW?

something like that would be really good for work on the ranch. keep a red flare in it, a couple extra flares, and one 22lr, in my shirt pocket.

  • @WeeeeBeep Doesn't look like it's an AOW I gets the barrel is rifled. I think it work nice for the purpose you mentioned.

  • It's a survival gun?

  • @tekmatik2009 It could be, better than a sharp stick.

  • why you learn your son how to shoot! f**cking psycho! the god don't loves guns ;)

  • how hard does it kick with the 45lc an 410 shells ?

  • "this gun is not really a target pistol, by anyyy stretch of the imagination" that cracked me up, still a pretty neat little pistol though.

  • Neat little gun.

  • its funny how lil sootch wiggles side to side and hes only shooting a .22 u said he was 12 right

  • Can you shoot both the projectiles at the same time?

  • @ImpagliazzoBR Did you even watch the video? There's a switch like lever in the hammer when lowered fires the .45 and raised fires the .22

  • love it man :p a father to my hart :p learning your kids to handle things is a must , with a little respect they can handle themselves perfectly at later age ;)

  • both of my parents are black

  • they sell double 410's nowadays on gunbroker for about $90

  • damn, I gotta get me one of those guns

  • The fact that it shoots .22s is awesome. That is one versatile pistol, perfect for survival situations; camping, kayaking, etc.

  • if you son is 12, he should be shootin a .45...im 12 i shoot .45's and im a pretty skinny dude...

  • I picked up a side-by-side .45lc today, I am actually dissapointed in the fact that a .45 caseing was VERY difficult to get out (I actually had to push a screwdriver through the muzzel and hammer it on a table). It was ok with .410 shells, have you had any problems like this?? Ill make a vid responce for you asap to show you the exact problem

  • FMJ = Full Metal Jackass

  • Could ya shoot a 22 mag out of this?

  • i have the original.... FMJ from ducktown, Tn., before Cobray took them over... great lil' cannon

  • The Police ask:Hey!! Where you get that gun?!

    Me:It's a toy!!

    Police:Oh ok.

  • "Hey John, is that a Derringer? "

    "Keep still Abe!"

  • the model you are shooting here is different than the one i own, mine has a piece of metal that wont let the gun be opened unless the saftey is fully pushed in on the right side of the gun and it will hold the hammer at half cock

  • the model you are shooting here is different than the one i own, mine has a piece of metal that wont let the gun be opened unless the saftey is fully pushed in on the right side of the gun and it will hold the hammer at half cock

  • Do you own an Alaskan .45-70 Survival Derringer?

  • junk

  • Do you know anyone who has one of these for sale? I am looking for the 22 caliber combo like yours... I can find the double 45 but not the 22 over... Thanks Kevin

  • I have the same model gun as this. It makes are great gun for killing pests.

  • You say "they haven't been made in 20 years". I know they where still making them upto at least 2004. The manufacturer is just very hard to get ahold of. The last name they were using that I know of was "Et Cetera L.L.C." Phone was (423) 496-9050. May be an old number, that was back in 2004ish.

  • scootch your son is very well trained in gun safety. he rememberd to pull back the hammer only after he raised the gun. didnt try to flick out the empty .22 shell. you have done a good job in teaching little scootch proper handling.

  • Good review Sootch. One major safety issue though! It is very important to PUT THE GUN ON SAFE BEFORE LOADING. You will see this stamped on the left side of the barrel. The reason is, the firing pin is on the hammer. It protrudes into the chamber area when uncocked. Closing the action can causes the round to hit the firing pin. You and little Sootch are fortunate that the gun didn't go off when you were closing the action. Putting the safety on puts the gun in 1/2 cock, and keeps the pin clear.

  • looks pretty similiar to one of those older revolver(in my opinion)

  • I just bought this gun the other day and I LOVE IT. it is a unique gun but like you said it is fun to shoot and a great conversation piece. everytime i show my buddies they think it is the coolest thing ever. you don't see them everyday. I like it

  • Cool little gun and little sootch did very good.

  • Hmm never seen this model very neat. Yes this is just a fun gun all around. pure and simple.

  • want this gun but alas the poor mans gun is to expensive for me. but for defense it seems gr8. a 22 to make him think twice and if he dont thn hell get a bigger slug

  • That is one sexy pistol! I imagine putting a length of picatinny rail on top and a litle red dot. Very cool! -Nax

  • They shoot 3 in .410 with out a problem.

  • too heavy for me.. but the 12in barrel with a 22 would be killer. get a collapsible stock and thats better than a ar7 imo

  • Kind of looks like a flare gun at first glance. Thanks for the post.

  • think of 12 ga and a 45 mag in a riffle/shotgun combo that would rock

  • where can i buy one?

  • mine is double barrel 410 and a monster kick that hurts my hand must use weight lifter gloves

  • Has anyone tested these guns to determine their shot patterns at varying ranges with bird shot?

  • I have never heard of this pistol till now. a little bit random having a 410 and a 22 combined. would loveto fire a 410 from something this size

  • Hey sootch how old was your son when he started shooting?, i have a son and i dont really know when i should let him start shooting

  • @bryantp08 He started shooting around 7 years. We started out with a 22lr rifle and then 22lr pistol. I don't push him too hard and mainly focus on safety and proper handling. If he got tired, I'd let him stop. Now he's wanted to shoot anytime. I salute you for passing down the shooting sports to your son. Thanks~.

  • @bryantp08 Was the stash you mentioned in or near Obama's stash?

  • that would make a good survival pistol...with the .22 and .410

  • Wow i'm 13 and all i have is one air rifle. Little sootch is lucky!

  • This could be really cool with a 22 mag on top. I wonder if it could be converted?

    \

  • How interesting.

  • What a cool little gun.

    Stephen

  • Great review Thanks fellow Patriot!

  • Great review Thanks!

  • it would be a good survival gun if ur good with it but i would have a 20 gauge 22 combo in a long gun but if you cant get 1 this is nice to have as a backup

  • Fun little weapon. The wife gave me one a few years back. It can be abit tough to figure how to open it for loading. Thus, I let people try to open it and if they can do so I then alow them to handle my other weapons. Roflmao... Thanks for your vids.

    The Rev

  • How accurate is it?

  • How old is your son? He seems like 8 or 9? :)

  • @xboxrulez12 He just turned 12. The Walther P-22 is his favorite.

  • @sootch00 Cool. Walther P-22 is great. :)

  • @sootch00 Sounds like your boy has good taste. Love the P-22.

  • @sootch00 im about the same age as your son i shoot some guns but not as many as he can i love my state Kansas not much crime I am 14 years old what gun do u recommend currently i own (with my own money) a 1890 Winchester pump 22lr a 22lr colt single action I really want a 1911 or a glock style

  • @sootch00 is this gun safe when loaded if i drop it will it go off and what is the range of this?...thax 4 the vid good job

  • @xboxrulez12 PEDO

  • @xboxrulez12 people are such pussies about age. it wouldn't have hurt if i started shooting at age 4. infact it'd make you more cautious with weapons when older, and able to make more wise decisions.

  • man little sootch looks just like you lol cool stuff man

  • @SpiritofAdventure22 No! Lol!

  • Little Sootch is a real "cool" dude! He was defiantly having a blast! I love it!

PS: You can keep your lunch money, I must have been mistaken! LOL

  • What a cool find! That side by side shotgun looked very nice. Thanks for posting!

  • that was NOT little sootches first time to shoot a gun

  • I am CA, cant wait til I get back to VA. It has been 6yrs since i bought a FA.

  • seen them at the gun show pretty neat. 99.99

  • I have one of these, fun gun I bought it for $100 great for grouse if you can get real close.

  • Hi Sootch, interesting vid again, my friend. Boy, for a pound, that FMJ looks like all of that and then some. Cool little firearm. The variations are fascinating. Don't think it would fit in the vest pocket though. Like you said, it's fun to shoot, and it's also a good conversation piece. Did you mention what the handles were made of? Thanks for all you do, Sootch!

  • Cool!

  • thing looks like a flare gun :) big sucker

  • Nice lil snake gun .

  • Not too sure about the firing pin flip - might put you in a bad position with a rattle snake or home invader...the side by side or the five barrel sounds cool. Not for me..but hey, at least now this is America, and although I don't like it, Jim down the street may think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Embrace our firearm diversity, and fight to continue to have this right for our children. Thanks Sootch

  • man i want the 11" (thats what she said) but that would be cool

  • Sootch,

Out of the thousands of pistols out there, you can't find any other pistol to review. Come on.

  • Check my channel out for some dope Hip-Hop out of TORONTO! wowza

  • You should have more of Little Sootch in the future!

And "I don't think you gonna take my lunch money boy!" was hilarious. :)

  • That thing looks like a home made Raod Warrior deluxe. Ugly yet bad-ass

  • Scootch, where are the vendors who are selling these little beauties?

  • the judge is better

  • @ilovekershaw Meh, I am underimpressed by the Judge...not very accurate with .45 LC and the rifling makes a .410 shot spread out very quickly, in fact I couldn't break a shooting clay sitting on a dirtbank at seven yards. It'd make a great snake gun but beyond ten feet or so is asking a bit much for the .410 out of it, and personally I'd prefer a .357 to a 45 LC.

  • Nice little gun to pull out of drawer in case of intruder.

  • Little Sootch is cool haha

  • Thanks for the review Sootch! You really do fun gun reviews. I really like the funny endings you are doing now. Keep it up!

  • of course i wait a day to watch this sweet review!

now ill never find this gun cause others are snatching them up!

  • I love .22LR's

  • great little pistol... i think it would be great for snakes in desert country

  • I am not sure whether or not I can trust this gun with my life!

  • If one was not a collector, why on earth would you want one? This pistol looks like a plumber or pipe fitter made it. lol

  • OMG. I want the double barrel.

  • Great to see kids handling firarms in a safe proficeint manner. Well done sootch00!

  • dude i love guns that shoot multiple calibers!

  • sootch00 do you think the cobray would be accurate enough to throw in a pack while backpacking to use to procure food in a pinch?

  • thats cool man !

  • ok its a funny pistol

the 22lr must be for if the 410 stop working =)

  • ok.. i want one.. now to try find it

  • Hey is Little Sootch your son?

  • @TheGaboefects Oh yeah, Little Sootch is my oldest son. His name is Seth but Sootch is my nickname for him. He started the whole "Sootch" thing so really I'm Sootch Jr! Lol! Thanks for asking.

  • nice its like a mini shotgun with a little extra added bonus with the .22 cal. i like it good video sootch.

  • I was just thinking about picking one of these up. You always seem to make a video on exacly what I am thinking about. It is kind of creepy actualy, lol.

  • That's a real fun-gun there, thanks for the review. Love the "deleted scenes".

  • luv the "lunch munny" bit!!!!!!!

  • i have the one thats .45 and .410

  • That would be a perfect little survival pistol!

  • Would that 11" side by side be ca legal? Because it's considered a pistol? I want it, lol

  • do they make flares in 410?

  • weird gun

  • Thanks Sootch00!

  • I think I like that more than the Judge.

  • -- Looks like a Mini Flare Gun! -- Thanks for sharing!

  • lol "little sootch"

  • BTW, not that it is right, I personally think it was wrong for the government to do, but it was the "Street Sweeper" Shotgun that Cobray was sued over if I am not mistaken. I think they should sell those rights and market a poor mans Judge while they can. Great review dude! Shalom!

  • what is the most damage a 410 slug can do? can it take down a black bear or a deer?

  • @dreamz20091 A .410 slug weighs only 96 grains. That's about the same weight as a .380 ACP round. Average velocities will be in the 1100fps range with this gun. That translates into around 300 foot/lbs. of energy. Most people feel that an ethical deer gun needs 1000 foot/lbs of energy at the point of impact. A .410 doesn't do it even at the muzzle.

  • I'd love to get one of the double barrels - they look pretty sweet. Also great video!

  • HA HA HA The poor mans Judge! Classic!

  • it looks like a flare gun and can you do a review on that beast of a auto gun that you showed

  • I had one of these years ago in 45lc and 410,but the barrels where side by side like a shotgun..just like the one @ 6:42..mean looking little gun lol.

  • Comment removed

  • Gotta have it!!! Every man should have at least one. Every women should have two.

  • A good friend of mine had the sbs 45/410 model. When loaded with 410 #8's, made a dandy little snake gun.

  • I think the 11 in. side by side would be so much fun to shoot! Not that the over and under combo wouldn't be either, great video dude!

  • What a fun gun and thats a great little chap you got there, seems like you have taught him well.

  • Man... it is so much fun. And little Sootch rocks. Congrats on one more interesting video. God Bless

  • Little Sootch has the same war face.

  • damn thats an ugly gun

  • Fun little gun!

  • dang!!! i want one!!! lol

  • FMJ also makes a .45/.410. Pretty cool stuff

  • awesome! Looks like fun

  • great vid, I wouldnt mind one of the sbs or ou 45/410 for my self.
