P&L is a lot of fun. Yeah a beer might be a couple of dollars more than your typical pub. But, you don't have to worry about getting shot in the face. Which is a plus in my book.

you would have to pay the cover charges to get into the bars like the shark bar, but the main area you wouldnt have to pay, the cover is like 2 dollars for girls and 3 for guys.... so not that much

ive lived in the kc area my entire life! i kinda want to go to power and light just cus alot of my friends do but i don't drink and was wondering if i was driving my friends home would i still have to pay covers just to get in and hang out for a bit????

You gotta love it man...finally the city's getting some balls...I could care less about the dress code or people feeling like it's racist...as long as people are patronizing and spending money because that's what makes the city grow...you gotta cater to the yuppies, i'm sure the dress code thing will slowly ease up once good numbers start coming in...trust me I'm in L.A. and that technique worked for this ass backwards town...

i live in missouri and im refering to the dress codes kansas city's p&l district have thats all to me those bars rules and set ups are lame the bars are trendy. im not making disparaging comments about minorities.

I'm an upper class white guy, i love the fact that every random KC wannabe thug cant get into the bars. I also enjoy trendy rich white people good times and when i'm surrounded by more trendy rich white people i dont have to worry about a fight breaking out because no one wants to scuff their gucci.

Howl at the Moon is great. I really like the Power and Light, a little expensive though. A lot of different places to go with different atmospheres. Saw Ludo down there a few weeks ago. :)
