@TheWaynelds no it's abusing a glitch in the game mechanics. Cheating is modifying external memory. You're using "cheating" as an off-hand for "unfair", which it's not in either case.

@TheWaynelds trust me on this, I cheat in online FPS's. I use external hacks to freeze portions of memory. THAT is a hack. Falling through the floor in a FPS or this game for that matter, is a glitch. Nintendo can go ahead and fix it in the virtual console copy or preferably go ahead and do another run of SNES carts, I know I'd like a 7th copy of the game to play around with.

glitches are not cheats (well this specific one because UP + DOWN are pressed simultaneously), the memory/command inputs/game/etc. just get so confused it doesn't know what to do.

All you have to do is retrieve the white page, go into the room with the two books, find the white book hidden behind the wall or something (it's been a while) and figure out the code to get into the door... Heh, it's one of those things, once you know how to beat it, you can do it over and over and over in under 5 minutes... Um... You know, except when you forget small details(like I have)
