I've checked out this company. It's a pipe dream run by an ex-cult leader. Aside from the two prototype TwinJets pictured in the film here, I have never seen any other evidence that they have produched a single other jet. Note all the images of the 2nd generation jets are CGI. They're trolling for investors. The <$1 price is for a kit that you will have to build yourself and I guarantee you that you will not have them flying for under $2.5M. For the money I'd buy a nice used TBM-850 or CJ1

With a set of twins, plus optional whole plane parachute, and all under 1m, the smart jet would have to be the best micro jet in the market if you asked me, I really have no idea what its competition would be in that price range, none I guess, unless you would prefer a single turbine, awesome VLJ.

Try a BD-5. Don't need to be filthy rich. 350 kt cruise, 500 mile range. small mod to length of fuselage and can increase to about 900-1000 miles.

the smart jet goes 250kts and cost about $900,000 the cruiser jet goes 325kts and cost about 1.5m. a lot of money. i stick with my ovation 190kts and 2400nm at long range cruise. thats an easy san fransico to hawaii if your bladder will hold out.

Thats the music from "Top Gun" when goose died. It doesn't really suit the video. "Danger Zone", or Van Halens "Dreams" would have been better. The other music is good though.
