There are parts where it is to low however there are parts done quite amazingly. I plan to play this on tuba to make an audition.

In Bach's footnotes, it actually states that the cello suites were written to be played on tuba.

from my understanding bach lived in the baroque era which was from 1600 to1750

the tuba was invented by Wagner who was born in 1813

Uhh nooo the tuba was not invented by wagner. youre confusing it with the "Wagner Tuba" which is not actually a tuba but a kinda variation of the french horn. The tuba was created by wilhelm wilprecht and some other guy whose name i forgot

I agree with joshopsho that it is on the verge of being too low to be played with clear tone on an F tuba. It sounds aggressive and 'blatty'. I do however, commend the amount of pitch you were able to get that low. High and mid tessitura is absolutely gorgeous though. Great playing overall and I love the bird sounds. I wish it was my practice room too. It would be nice to have that kind of reverb and have all sorts of flying things soaring with you as you play an arrangement of a Bach piece.

It is too low. Why bother playing that low on a F tuba? You've also made it sound laboured, untasteful and aggressive. Think about longer phrases. Get the urtext and some Rostrapovich and you might be nearer the mark.

very nice, i have tried playing in huge archways and entrances when i get a chance just to hear how much you can fill up a room or area. Luckily my school is all open interior about 4 story high roof down the main hall so i don't have to go very far for the beauty of this. Well i got Texas all-state try-outs in two days so i need to go practice peace, and nice playing.

I am a young tubist and just started about a year and a half ago...you inspire me, thank you very, very much I hope I am as great as you...but what do you think..do you need to be a big person to play...because I am very small but yet my lung capcity is huge and im first chair in my band out of about 4, I really think though that you should try for a movie sound track or something...keep up the AMAZING work!!
