NAACP was never involved. Abernathy and King created MIA - Montgo. Improvement Association, and MIA ran the Boycott. Abernathy and King decided that King would be President, and Abernathy would support him as Tres., and well the rest is history.

The pair went on to change the world with their own hands - and they were very successful.

Nixon was not an atty, the boycott was not planned, Mrs. Parks was the fourth woman to be arrested that year, local women in Mont. had organized against the actions of the bus drivers against blk women, two local young ministers and friends ( Ralph David Abernathy, 29; Martin L. King, Jr., 26) walked the streets getting out the word of the boycott as well as announcing in their churches, the BUSES WERE EMPTY from DAY 1 and all 381 days
