  • ok they dont usually jump and thy dont always look great doing it but they can and they do. i know some who look better than other breeds jumoping.

  • Wow, he looks like he could clear 3-4 feet!!

  • Who says arabs can't jump. Yes, arabians are little, but they have a big heart!

  • 2 of my favorite horses and the horses i really click with are arabians. They are buster and derby. they have jump!! Buster is a total jumper horse..... he loves to race around the courses. he will jump anything from any where and will jump it like a foot more than he needs to. Love my boys ( although they arent really mine)

  • lol ur horse is cutteee. where is this?! there is soooo much sand!!!!! lol xD

  • Cool. Your arab can jump. Still doesn't look great doing it. I see a lack of scope, high head carriage and hanging knees that is very characteristic of arabs. There's a reason you don't see arabs in hunters

  • @phneehowieollie exactly, they can physically jump.. but look pretty ugly doing it.

  • the little arab i rode was jumping 3ft and he was 20 then :) theyre cute little jumpers

  • Where are you located at? There is sand everywhere! Lol

  • congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh by the way your horse is beautiful!!!

  • I love arabbs. I am currently jumping one, but I am switching to a tb because my arab is kind of old and hes arthritic, and he can't (or wont, idk) jump higher than 2'9". im extreemly sad about this but he will always havehis own little special place in my heart

  • Arabs are amaizing and you gave every one a perfect example

  • Arabs CAN jump!the arab gelding i used to ride was a fantastic jumper! even if he did think every fence was so scary! lol. great horse. very pretty. quick just like carson. (even thought the vids i have of him are boreing since its not of us galloping fences outside with the high jumps. ) lol. keep up the gr8 riding!!!!!!!

  • Go Arabians!!! Whoo Hoo! Mine [well, my future] can jump pretty well ;) Wow. Talented horse AND rider!

  • @sarahstroup why are you badmouthing Quarter Horses? They're just as capable of being a handful as Arabs.

There are plenty of Quarter Horses out there that are just as good as your 'pure Egyptian Arabian' at most things and better at some.

  • @golfcharlieromeo

    I love my quarter horse

  • Lol have to laugh at some of these comments i bet half of these people havent even rode a arab, I have a arab and shes an amazing lil jumper and loves jumping, really unless you understand arabs or own a arab dont post anything, shes put the vid up to show ppl that arabs can jump too, not to get people to like arabs!!

    Great video :D xx

  • how high is your grey? very very pretty horse, with a fantastic jump :) i had a arabian that i broke in myself. he could jump, but he just didnt like doing it all that much. so he could, but he didnt want to! all horses (especially athletic little arabians!!) can jump, its just whether they want to or not :)

  • @purplejumpergirl Why do you hate the breed? All horses have some arab in them, its the branch breed of horses.

  • i had a 3/4 bred arab mare at 13.2 she cleared a 4ft jump with me on her, She was a fab allround pony who could xc, show jump, dressage ODE and gymkahana

  • People say Arabians are 'spooky' &'hot' because they prefer their horses to be dumb & dull, and they don't have the skill to ride a horse that has a mind of its own-- &actually uses it. So stop badmouthing Arabians & go ride your boring Quarter Horse with its HERDA, HYPP and numerous other diseases from poor, narrow-minded breeding. Ill be riding my pure Egyptian Arabian whose ancestors were carefully selected to reproduce not only b/c of their impecable beauty but because of their intelligence.

  • I think people mean when they say Arabs can't jump is their not the ideal competitive jumper. I mean don't get my wrong they sure can is their trained properly but you mostly see Thoroughbreds and others being the best jumping horses because the have longer strides. I jump Arabians all the time and they are the FUNNIEST thing to jump! It's so cute how the pop :D Any horse breed can jump. <3

  • You have a very beautiful horse. I own five peer bred Arabs. They really are an amazing breed! And yes, they can jump. One of my geldings has gotten to 4'6'' so I know they can jump. Good luck!

  • @purplejumpergirl Clearly you do not understand what I am saying and therefore I will not go to the effort of correcting you. So have fun with your horse if you have one or whatever. hope you two do well together

  • @purplejumpergirl ... next time just think before you go insulting other people's horses. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean other people don't.

  • @purplejumpergirl ... technically he is a horse.. ?

  • @purplejumpergirl so you're saying my horse is ugly...? right

  • Arabians are not suited for the 16' jumps because the lack the strength and height reqauired to get over the jump... THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY CANNOT JUMP. Ignorant people really piss me off.

  • I ride a great little arabian mare and she loves to jump! Looks very much the same as your horse when she jumps. Anyone who says they can't jump has never ridden one. ;)

  • ...Arabians can jump. there not built for it, or bred, and they don't look good doing it either, no offense. but physically they can jump. maybe good for jumpers but never in a hunter ring

    just my opinion

  • @mopperson101 I've seen many many arabians in the hunter ring...actually a few of my friends ride arabs in the hunter ring and do very well =)

  • @SweetPeaJumper

actully it depends. they might not be pure Arabian. but i dont think arabs are the best jumping choice...

  • i think you did fine, because arabians go fast, but they are very careful jumpers. And they enjoy it.

  • ya shure they can jump just not good

  • I love arabians and I hate it when people say they can't jump! They're so good at it!

  • i lovve it

  • hhes georgeous

  • Arabians can jump fine. I'd love to have an arabian but it really depends on shows. If you really wanna show an arabian in jumpers/hunter, you gotta have the perfect arabian for it (and you do!) and the reason why, is because arabians are gaited, so it takes points off in shows. I've seen a lot of arabians win before though :) But if you wanna show bigtime, arabians aren't the horses for it, since it'll hurt their backs and they will get points off.

  • Erm who said arabs cant jump! THEY MUST BE STUPIED! y arab pony is 14.1hh and jumps 4ft3! And 3ft Cross Country :) So Thats most defo not true :)

  • My horse was a flat racer and now jumps we even went to winter championships this year!! glad there re more arabs out there proving those ppl wrong! Brill video!

  • arabians are better jumpers than some thoroughbreds.....

  • Great video! Arabs can jump! x

  • Heh. They say Arabs can't jump. The only reason I've ever heard anyone say that they can't jump was because they're soft-boned and can't be saddle broken until 4-5 yrs old.

  • haha people are so stupid, i have a 14.2 polish arabian who does the 3'6" jumpers they make amazing jumpers because being small makes them turn better and safer them being flighty makes them careful over jumper fences and they are so light on the front end jumping comes to them like breathing (which is easier for them due to large lungs and nostrils) =] i'll always have arabians as sport horses

  • wooow; Thank you soo much for making this. My trainer told me arabians aren't made to jump and since I am about to start half leasing an arab I was a little worried. So thank you soo much!

  • I have arabians and i have heard they cant jump cause there to small boned but they can but you need to slow him down before he hurts you or his self (not trying to be mean) I had the same problem but thats why he triped over the jump at 0:37

  • Oh, that wasnt tripping lol he was jumping over something. But yeah he does go too fast. These clips are all quite old so .. yeah

  • @LudwigAshley that is a load of rubbish the horse is fine! I know loads of arabs who jump higher and faster than that!

  • i've never herd anyone say arabs cant jump

  • lucky! You must know knowledgeable people. I have had people tell me arabs can't jump as I enter the arena to do a showjumping course. Not exactly the most encourageing of things to hear.

  • i bet you came out saying in your face haha lovley horse

  • ive never heard that either

  • @texenstar omg just look at his tail

  • @ellsybellsysmellsy neither have i

  • my vet who bred arabians for years says that the way and purpose arabians were developed effects their conformation. arabs dont have strongly built hindquarters which impairs some arabs jumping ability but they can jump if not pushed too hard to jump too high. but most arabs can successfully clear 4 feet.

  • i have just bought an arab, first time i rode him i jumped 3'6-3'6, (110-120cm). arabs can jump if taught from a yound age. the only thing i dont like about arabs is that their tails sticking up in the air. haha. also arabs can be the right shape for jumping if they have good conformation and breeding

    (:

  • are u kidding i love the tail thing! lol

  • @Bellesweetie same! x

  • arabs r naughty . go find what olympic riders ride arabs ! i hava purepred arab and she IS a amazing allrounder but they hava nasty stop in them . i compete at 80cm and have jumped her 1.05 ! olympic riders ( have had lessons with 2 ) have sed she has a gorgeous jump with potential !

  • omg! arabian r awsome at jumping! i have 1 and we jump all the time i hjope 2 ace all my hunter classes with my arab majestic this summer! arabians can do anything i dont care what ppl say!

  • I have an arabian and he does everything!

  • same!

  • omg arabs can do like anything i jump arabs and they are FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yea my arab is extremely quiet though he does have flighty moments and run around with his tail in the air... but really what horse doesnt sometimes. and he can also jump up to 90 cm if u push him even though he is a brilliant dressage horse

  • AHHHHHHHGGGGGG ok arabs are NOT to flighty

  • i know! it really annoys me when ppl say that! Its not like other horses who arnt arab cant be flighty

  • Finally a believer!!! My Arabian even though he is still in training, and both his parents are halter class horses, he is built just fine for jumping, he even tries to jump trot poles, and when he does he does it better than any TB.

  • aww cute

  • WAY TO GO !! beuitful horses!

  • thanks :P

  • Go Arabs ! Good job girls!!!!! Arabian owners unite!

  • defintely!

  • I SOOOO AGREEE WITHH THISSS VIDEOOO!!! i ride this paint/arabian mix and he can jump perfectly fine i mean he's not the best right now but he is in trianing adn doin awesome!!!!

  • thats good!

  • @texenstar My friend tells me that arabs can jump, but not well. It a conformation fault (their croups are.. flat) it al depends on the quarters of the horse when it comes to jumping, so arabs have the flat croup so they cant round out over the jump and lift in there backs. A horse with a regular croup can do better because of that normal croup they have more developed mucsle in there himd end. I Suggest working on 10 metre circles at a canter do delevelope those muscles. Nice arabs tho :)

  • thats cool! I ve never heard of another horse called Salute! And the can certainly jump!!! lol

  • I sooo agree: )

  • I agree x)

  • i luv arabians i jump with mine all the time!!! i luv ur video!! ur awsome!

  • I Have an arab bred by Normativ x Comment on my vid of her . She and i can jump way bigger but it was her first show so ... ? ''/

  • I personaly think arabians are the BEST at jumping. They move so swiftly over the jumps, they make i look like its really easy!!

    X ARABIANS RULE!!

  • I think people need to stop judging a horse by its breed, and actually who trains it, and what its personally capable of. For example, some childrens parents are so active and sporty and naturally skinny and fit, but that doesn't mean to say that the child is overweight and can't play sport very well. Some arabs can jump, some arabs can't - just like some fjords can jump - and some fjords can't. Everyone needs to chill their pants, stop the jealousy and just have fun.

  • LIttle advice- heels down to all the riders XD

You have beautiful arabians, and horses, but those heels keep popping up.

  • they sure can

  • Sure he's jumping, but he's jumping like a deer instead of stretching out like he should.

  • doesnt mean he cant jump though.

  • But he could never make it in the show ring as a jumper

  • what height of jumps are you thinking of?

  • All jumps.

Yes, he could go to show, but he probably wouldn't win.

I love Arabins, they are my favorite breed, but they're just no good at jumping.

By the way, yours is beautiful.

  • yet he has win jumping shows. you cant judge horses based in their breed :P

  • Must have been a little show.

  • oh really? If you know soooo much about horses and jumping, that why dont you out a video of you and your horse jumping on youtube? If you know sooo much about arabs, please do tell us about your expeiriance.

  • Stop trying to intimidate peopl eon the Internet and get a life.

  • well why dont you show us a video of your arab jumping? i mean, since you have sooo much expeiriance with arabs.

  • well, this WULD b a vid of her and her horse jumping, who else would it be? and i have a arabian mare whose currently training just over 2ft, and jumping it better than any thoroughbred wuld. Arabs get stereotyped into not being able to jump, and if they dont jump it lyk a tb, they cant jump at all? thats wrong, they can jump, it all depends whose riding them. Now im not saying all arabs can jump thats not true, but some tb's cant jump to save there lyf either, its not fair to judge arabs :)

  • just because they dont jump like tb's do, does that mean they cant jump? Horses have been stereotyped into one certain way of jumping- the thoroughbred way. So wat that they dont jump the same? they line themself up for the jump, they jump it, clear it and its all the same, so who cares if they dont jump it the same? My mare is jumping just over 2ft at the moment, and jumping it like any tb would, if not better.

  • Nice! Arabs rule the world!!!

  • yeah!

  • i think arabs are perfect for jumping, there small built so almost weightless to jump i know a 13.2 arab pony that has outjumped its 5ft jump wings!

  • wow!

  • arabs sadly arnt allowed in shows cos they ' deer jump ' i love arab jumps!

  • The "deer jump" is when they do a little kick at the end??? Sorry this is just news to me and i like to keep an update XD

  • why is that stopping them from going to shows?

  • ALL horses can jump, they just have to figure out how, My saddlebred can jump *Even though he's freakish about it*

  • hehe, i LOVE saddlebreds! they are really pretty!

  • He isn't gated, but he's VERY prettyful! ^_^ He LOVES jumping & he's the fastest horse at the stable

  • zabuzahot12 no you dont she cant jump bad back remember i got to the farm she was my old horse?!

i go to the farm she goes to=]

  • true i jump an arab

  • This is so true.

My arab can jumpp 4 ft.

There natural jumpers because there so light on there feet :)

  • But sometimes they can't build up their hind end enough to jump properly.

I love arabs, and they are fantastic jumpers, but judges don't like them.

  • I know!! It really bugs me!

  • i am so glad you put this video up people talk shit on arabains all the time i have 2 and love them to death they will do anything to plz. dont let anyone talk you down keep doing you!!

  • hehe thanks x

  • you should invest in some real riding shoes some of the pics you had pink converses on and those could slip through the stirrup and you could fall off and your foot wouldn't come out trust me i know because then you get dragged and get serious damage done to you

  • yes I know and that happens to be the only time I have ever ridden in converses if you look at all the other films and photos I have riding boots on

  • i seriously dont know why people are putting thumbs down because all im doing is saying you really could get hurt it has happend before and it not like im saying she did terrible because she did great! if im wrong please soemone tell me i kknow feet slipping throubgh the vstirrup is dangerous

  • yes it is but everyone has a day when they do something that could be dangerous, i mean at least i am always wearing a hat!

  • i got an arab, and mate he canjump!

  • thats great!

  • he's a stunner!!!

gotta love arabs!! i love mine to death!!! :D

  • thanks x

  • the last thing i ever pictured me getting for a first horse was an arab. guess which one i came home with 3 years ago after searching for a while? lol Of course, the arab! She is a little spitfire sometimes, but she is so willing to please and we are just starting jumping and are at around 2 feet within 3 weeks, and Jumping barrels, so they CAN jump! :)

  • definetly!

  • Arabian owners unite! Lol. Arabs can do anything big horses can do, except they do it with sass.

  • Yep they do it with temper and sass :)

  • haha and a couple of rears and bucks

  • lol

  • they can jump.. but they look really really bad when there jumping... sorry if i offended anyone

  • im not offended but i think you say that becasue you are not use to seeing arabians jump because no horse looks bad. and after all every horse has a unique jumping style. :P

  • I think people say that because arabs are HARD to jump and u need to be able to control them to make the right strides. it's not that they can't jump, it's just that if u let go of the reins for a slight moment they will run trough the fence and break it. lol :]

    My horse is an anglo-arab and he can jump but we don't jump him because I can't jump for health reasons... but I want to be able to jump again sooooooo much!! ;__;

But yeah, ARABS CAN JUMP!!! =]]]

  • Ya i know! they can jump and ppl just say that cuz they dont know how to jump an arab! i have a 100% arabian gelding and he is not easy but once you have hed that breed for a while, you learn to understand how to make them jump

  • yeah i sorta half agree :P but of course every horse is different. but i know what your talking about! (its the same with my horse :P)

  • It can be that, but a lot of people say they aren't good jumpers, because they get knocked down because of the breed. Something like... They don't build up their hind end properly, as a Quarter Horse could, this horse is pretty, but see how it carries its head? Popped up, that means that is just bunny hopping over the fences, in a horse show, they would need to curve over the fence.

  • arabs are more equipped to do jumper courses...they are more agile and intellegent. the best jumpers ive ridden are arabs

  • i toatally agree!

  • my pony is half arab and he clears jumps by about 3 ft!

  • thats cool!

  • dude screw whoever says that. they are a freaken retard!!!!!!!!!! hey texenstar this is xcountrychic95 now because i had to change my password!!! so this is my new name:0:0:0

  • lol ok

  • i miss talking to you so much!!!!!!!! what happened to you?

  • oh sorry:P

  • lol my half arab jumps 4ft!! Whoever said arabs can't jump is a moron.

  • i know right!

  • arabians can soooooooooooooo jump thats so stupid someone would say that!!!!

  • i know, i mean take one look at my horse!!

  • Arabians can jump and do it darn well. They have springs for legs. They also do very well in x-country cause of their boldness and stamina. Although they don't tend to make the greatest hunters as they tend to jump high headed. But they still rock.

  • haha yeah!

  • no one should ever say that any horse can't jump!!!!!!!!!!! that person who ever said that is a f***ing retard.

  • haha yeah!!!!! i agree

  • wow, one of the first horses i jumped was an arabian, the other was a pony but i learned to jump on those both.

  • thats cool!

  • yeah, the arabian was so smooth she was the best!

  • this is great!! arabs are awsome jumpers...i hate steriotypical people who think some horses cant do things because they are a certain breed...I own a standie and some people are like "wait what? they can canter??" lol anyways fantastic jumping the riders are great!!

  • lol, bet thats annoying

    1 thanks for your comment

  • wow! he looks exactly like th arab mare i ride! i am training her to jump atm, and believe me i understand were u come from, i have had sooo many people telling me that she wont do it because she is an arab, and all they are is fancy breeding on a piece of paper, but i stuck with it and she is now jumping 45cm, i know its not much, but we are slowly getting better! Great job with Salute! xoxox

  • lol that great! keep up the good work :P thanks

  • ya i ride an arabian mare thats great at jummpng!
