Once got to within 3 metres of the top. But it was a hot day and my heart was going to explode. Should do better now on my new bike rather than my Trek 4100. New bike 5kg lighter.
Hi there, I use 32x16. I've used 34x16 and spoken to people who ride 32x18, but 32x16 is the best compromise. I rode TransScotland on this bike 32x16, very varied terrain and 500km in 7 days. Cheers, al.
Hi, i ride fixed on the road for commuting, but I think it's a bit mad off-road! For drops, jumps and tight corners I don't think it could work for me.
I took my santa cruz to the peak district in single format. I left everyone for dead. s/s rocks!

Did he get to the top of the Scorpian? the video just ended as he was going up it. I have never made it on a 27 geared bike. YET.

Well, you got me there! I made it half way up, to the "layby". Next time, eh....?
