If you had done some research you would have found out that it was a great amount of methane gas that leaked into the atmosphere that caused the melting of the last ice age. And methane gas is a green house gas whose impact on the atmosphere is over 20 times greater than carbon dioxide. That is largely why the last ice age where over about 10000 years ago.

The Earth indeed has cycles, but not with the temperature differences we have seen the last 30-40 years. Those are man made changes, and when 2500 of the world's best scientists on that area came to the conclusion that the increases in temperature indeed are man made. I was very happy that Gore received the Nobel Peace Prize. Over the past few years, he has been spreading awareness about global warming, which is not a hoax, there is scientific evidence. I'm sure that all of the candidates for the award devote their lives' to noble causes, but the fact is, Gore has achieved more in a short amount of time through his (dare I say it) celebrity. "An Inconvenient Truth" inspired me to care about conservation and the way I live. Al Gore for President!
