TomTom is especially made for GPS, a phone is not. If you buy a GPS model of tomtom, than you ARE paying for the maps that are on it. If you wanne have more maps, you will have to buy them later on or you have to buy a more expensive model where those maps are standard.

Everything works fine on the nokia n95 I can assure, and the battery wil be empty the first day you use it, but when you use it a few weeks you'll see the battery get better and better. maybe??i think he's indian...anywayzz n95's gps works in certain places not everywhere i got my n95 sinc it came out on stores,i tried the gps and it says no GPS position and all that it works fine when ur in a city but what i did was i bought a bluetooth GPS reciever...but ive had enough of little screens!!!im getting an iphone when it comes out here in UK.......

you can download maps for your area if they arent already on there.
i-phone is trash, you have to pay to get alot of the features.
the N95 has all the features available, you dont need an expensive phone plan to use the phone

Everything works fine on the nokia n95 I can assure, and the battery wil be empty the first day you use it, but when you use it a few weeks you'll see the battery get better and better. I have the n95 for 3 weeks now and the battery last for 2 a 3 days. (this includes intense use of gps and mp3 player) If you use it just as a phone the battery wil last for a week.

The GPS Yes but if u want to download maps and/or be up to date for traffics and weather you would have to access the internet to download the information ... but you can always use the WiFi and use a wireless internet with no cost !

Why didnt they just include the region mapping for the country the phone is purchased in in. Sound like a money making tactic forcing people to download the mapping for their region. I use a mio p550 pda for gps, its really cool and works perfectly. A mobile phone is best for one purphouse
