I have a mk4 GTI and when I went to the dealership the other day, they had JUST gotten in the first 2 beetles and the rep let me check it out completely, even offered a test drive, but i had to go :(. All platforms have potential. I don't see why you have something against Evo's and STi's/AWD's. Even though they're prone to understeer from factory, coilovers, proper valving/stiffening, replace bushings, thicker anti rollbars, some nice R-compound tires and you should be set for the track. Don't be acting like the FA5 Si from factory is slow as hell lol. They need work

Your argument is "fwd civics shittin on evos and sti's" yet I still don't see many Civics running Time Attack with the big dogs. The FWD TC produces 1400HP+ and the Sierra Sierra Evo makes around 700HP+ and yet it still kills the TC on ButtonWillow by 3 whole seconds and 4 thousandths of a second.
Really what's your point? AWD has been destroying FWD and RWD for years now.

You're talking about the red white and blue Cobalt SS that ran ButtonWillow like 5-6 years ago? That was long ago, I read that he was spraying but that doesn't really matter. He did 1:58, but that was so long ago.
The fastest FWD time attack car posted at ButtonWillow was Chris Rado's TC that posted 1:46.7 Sierra Sierra Evo did 1:43.3 that same year.
While in Australia and Japan. Majority of the top cars are Evo's.
PS - I don't entirely hate FWD. I love built Honda's.
