Your type is a perfect example of what's wrong with unions, and one primary reason why the U.S. is losing good jobs to foreign countries with cheaper labor. Though I'd like that job loss to stop, I don't believe it will as long as your type of attitude infests the job market. So when we lose MORE jobs, I hope the next round includes yours & every single other better-than-thou union worker. THEN you'll see that you ONCE had a damn good job .... but then you started crying about a porta-potty.
Even though I'm now a WHITE collar worker, with a nice leather chair, exotic hardwood desk, REALLY cool 20th-floor view of a major city, & most likely pulling in 3-4 times your salary ..... this ISN'T where I started. I first worked right there down in the mud & oil of the drill-rigs I help manage now. That's a VERY tough job, one which I did VERY proficiently for over 8 years. And if needed, I go right back to the rigs tomorrow ..... and not complain one bit if I had to pee in an on-site potty.
Let me educate you on something Mr. Union, something you quite obviously are completely clueless about. Your s#@t stinks just like any other U.S. workers does. Your job is no more important than any other & neither are you. Matter-of-fact, you're LESS important than many workers, since you don't provide a full day's labor like most others, choosing to waste some of that time bitching & crying about a place to defecate in.
Let me get this straight .... you're doing manual labor in temporary work camps, most likely getting DOUBLE the average U.S. blue-collar salary & EASILY double the monetary equivilant of benefits that same worker gets.
And yet you're whining & bitching about a porta-potty, the same identical type used by a LARGE majority of typical construction workers & other type workers at remote and/or temporary locations.

NO! NS determines the type of lodging that each gang uses. They have put one T&S gang in a motel with the intent of making things so rough on the men that they will ask for the camp cars back. It's been 3 years and they haven't cracked yet. NS makes them drive their vehicles to the camp cars with no mileage or pay. The BMWED is seeking arbitration to remedy this.
Don't MofW workers have a choice of either staying on the train in the camp cars or staying in a hotel nearby? I've seen T&S gangs shack up in hotels around here before.
