Zachary Quinto really deserves more praise for his talent by the way, like one person said, you could actually see him change from Gabriel to Sylar. He is just phenomenal, not to mention hot.

This was one of my favorite episodes too. What dumbass was stupid enough to kill Gabriel's kid, the one thing in the whole world that was strong enough to defeat Sylar, Gabriel's love for Noah is clearly what was containing Sylar. I was very disappointed that little Noah did not make more appearances and Iet us find out who his mother was. I think it was Claire, given Sylar's fixation with her. Who knows how, egg stealing, sexual assault, maybe he actually won her over at some point.

when sylar was going to explode, they should've added the whole "chain reaction"

effect like when ted was going explod in season 1, where he started setting off several mini explosions that set the house on fire and then exploded.

The reason this scene is stupid, is Peter could have frozen time. The only way this would have worked is if they ganged up on Peter and knocked him out or something.

@gamesandstuffs I wouldn't say the scene is stupid at all. Okay say they ganged up on Peter, then they had no reason to go after Sylar. They were there for Peter not Sylar, but Peter started a fight by knocking down Claire, thus showing the end result.

@gamesandstuffs I totally agree with the fact he could've frozen time and saved the day. One reason I think the scene was good, was it showed the results of time travelling and as Hiro would say "The butterfly effect" of doing so. I don't think the scene would have had the same emotion with the time freeze scenario and no Sylar going boom.

@CouldGiveASheeot I think at the very least after Peter threw Daphne he should have started walking toward Sylar and as hes doing so, the spin peeling off his face etc (like Claire with Ted in Season 1) - Once he gets to him, camera switches to a overhead view where the explosion sort of implodes - Both Sylar and Peter are gone. They appear in the middle of a forest where the explosion takes place.

That is a much better ending to this episode, Peter killing Nathan? So fucking wrong.

You know, this just shows how bad the show got after season 1. I'm not trying to be a "troll" but think of this: Clair knew where Peter was, so she has a large group of people she can choose from to assist her. perhaps she could choose Tracy or Maya. Instead, she chooses to bring a man that has shown that he has serious problems, violent tendencies, and who is willing to hurt anyone if he can. I don't know about you, but that is the LAST person I would want going near someone with that power!

Gotta be the most heartwrenching episodes in the whole series. First, we get a glimpse of Daddy!Gabriel (and who wouldn't want the ZQ to father their child?), and 'oh, that's so sweet!' And then...it's all over. They kill the kid, Gabe/Sylar goes crazy, and explodes in radiation. Wunderbar!

This is the one moment I actually wanted to cry for Gabriel/Sylar. You got to see what he'd be like as a "good guy" with sincere benevolent intentions. I'm hoping this upcoming episode where Sylar's looking to regain his humanity works out. He'd be awesome as a Hero rather than a Villain for once.

Seriously though, if you had his powers and you saw your child killed right before your eyes, wouldn't you do the very same thing that he did? KILL THEM ALL!!! NO MERCY!!!
