When I asked him how he felt about it, he said what punjhan says that at least people are using the hall there worshipping one God, rather than no prayers at all. Ii was used mainly by the afo carribean community. this was a beautiful and diverse area in the 60's and 70's and the demographic consisted of a lot od polish,italian and ukranian communities along with white and afro carribean. Butaround 1979 we saw 'the whit flight' where people moved out.. Then the afro carribean community moved out and church became dilapidated and empty

As a Christian this closure of buildings is a wonderful sign of the reformation of the Christian community which according to the sacred scriptures understood the church to be a body of believers rather than stone buidlings. Some convert happily - out of guidance and truth seeking, others may be 'forced' to embrace Islam. Islam actually says religion should NOT be forced, and opression is worse than murder. People do bad things, are you telling me the Ottomans were perfect human role models, who followed Islam perfectly?

What i'm trying to say is that a person who calls themselves a Muslim, maay only be a Muslim by name. A Muslim has to follow the entire Quran, not portions from here and there. A person is responcible for, and can choose, WHAT they follow, and whatever they choose to follow DOES directly affect their actions. Religion ITSELF does not affect anything.

Lord of The Rings actually strongly signifies Islamic beliefs, the producer based the story line, and some obvious characters, on Religion (namely Islam). The producer, B.M Osbourne, has put Religious links into LotR and The Matrix (Matrix supports certain conspiracy theories also). B.M.O is also producing a film based on the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). You need to believe in the Quran, or read it with open and un-manipulated/brainwashed eyes in order to see the truth of Islam. However, nothing in this world will conflict with what the Quran says (appart from the ignorant who can't see past their own eyes). Modern science can prove that the Quran is the word of our Creator, and everything else follows.

The local Catholic vicar where I live lets out his church hall for the Islamic Friday prayer sermon. When I asked him how he felt about it, he said what punjhan says that at least people are using the hall there worshipping one God, rather than no prayers at all. I think most vicars/priests feel the same.

I think this title is misleading. I am from Oldham and this Mosque is less than 400yards frm my house. Ii was used mainly by the afo carribean community. this was a beautiful and diverse area in the 60's and 70's and the demographic consisted of a lot od polish,italian and ukranian communities along with white and afro carribean. Butaround 1979 we saw 'the whit flight' where people moved out.. Then the afro carribean community moved out and church became dilapidated and empty

I meant Lahore in Pakistan sorry. Well there was a case of Apostasy in America where her parents(immigrants from south Asia) said they would kill her because she converted to Christianity. In Canada there was a school girl killed by her parents because she took of the hijab. Around the ruling Muslim and Liberal elite there is a massive double standard between secularism and Islam. Where I travel there was no churchs but now there is at least two in a muslim country where they are illegal to open themselves up fully as they may try to convert muslims. On the street behind my house 5 churchs have rsing congregations getting younger. The only way forward is God and not pagan allah. The fastest growing religion in my city is Judaism by birth.

As a Christian this closure of buildings is a wonderful sign of the reformation of the Christian community which according to the sacred scriptures understood the church to be a body of believers rather than stone buidlings. Lets give all the buildings away and get back to the first century church of Jesus Christ who dwelt by His Spirit in people not buildings. This is a sign of our return to truth in the Almighty One. Read the book of Acts in Injil (NT) you'll find it all took place in homes.

@GTA787 - Is a church better than a home, If you read early church history the "church" = body of believers remained in homes up until the time of Constantine who made Christianity a Roman State Religion, converted all the temples to "Church Buildings" and appointed a new priestly cast to rule over the people. The present church system makes the ordinary follower of Jesus a spectator in a theatre! rather than the former pure form were each member ministered to each other with no "Ruler" agenda.
