Certainly, he is very talented and also has a Rafi flavour but couldn't put the honey in many of these songs. His voice shakes a lot, he does some extra 'harkate', not necessary and couldn't match in pitch and clarity and style.

Some other singers should have joined him, should have researched more which songs to whom. I agree with moally55

He shoudn't have tackled all the songs by himself. There should have been various singers present to sing certain songs of rafi's that were more suited to other singer's voices, like this it would have been a more diverse performance.

After listening to more than 4 songs sung by sonu you just can only hear one thing... sonu's own voice and that's just dissapointing. I know that's something that everyone has to agree to.

Sonu is undoubtedly good but I find the need to mention one mistake in pronunciation that Rafi would never tolerate and sonu has done time and time again when ever he has sung this song and many other after him they all sound "bei-man hai" and should sound like Rafi "be-eiman hai" this annoys me I think not only Rafi's voice was unique but his Hindi Urdu pronunciation where perfect. And the singers who want to follow him and learn from his work should keep this in mind

Sonu is not Rafi but he is the best available singer who can sing Rafi upto 85%. He has done a great job to introduce Rafi Saheb to new generation.
