in my few the 'International Financial Centre' and the 'Jim Mao Tower' are the only two good looking skyscrapers of China. The rest of the Chineese towers look like crap. I know the official metering of skyscrapers but in my view there should be no distinction between metering antennas or spires, cause e.g if u put the Sears Tower next to the Peatron Tower it appears on both way higher (to the roof and to the very top)but official is smaller. PS:I'm German so me English isn't good hope 4 grasp.

CN Tower (As its name suggests) is a tower, not a building. Only like 25% or less of CN tower is habitable. Buildings require at least 50% area.

i know.... but it is still free standing at 553m...guiness book of world records was mad that toronto canada had the worlds tallest freestanding structure so they changed the classifications of the rules... until the burj duabi came around in 2007... the cn tower was the tallest man made thing built standing on its own and it was for over 35 years..... thats all that matters

CN Tower is still somewhere around the Top 5 if you count both buildings and freestanding structures. This video talks about buildings only. CN Tower is a freestanding structure, regardless if it's the tallest man made structure or not.

apologies, CN tower is number 3 in terms of tallest freestanding structures, behind the Guangzhou TV tower and in front of Sears Tower. But it doesn't count for buildings.

i think the freedom tower is a bad idea. lets say terrorists flew planes into the towers to change america, to change it's way of doing things, it's mentality or whatever you want to say. then that is a real plus for them to see they can have an such an effect on a city like new york. if they really wanted to send a message they should of built the towers exactly as they were, but the owner wanted the money so he brought them down...great video

Oh and I kinda agree with parejopinto about Freedom Tower. I don't hate it at all, think it's a cool building, think the cluster would look great near ICC in Kowloon, Hong Kong. But as the 'Freedom Tower' and all that stands for, it shud be so much more. Firstly in height, as it's now totally eclipsed by so many planned or under constrction, and secondly in design

Hey, think you got the wrong idea mate, I think this video's great actually. The sweeping footage really captures the scale of and majesty of the buildings, and the music is superb.

You're right, there are so many increadible skyscrapers going up atm, a very exciting time indeed, and difficult to keep track of sometimes!

Until the Burj Dubai is fully on its feet in 2009, Taipei 101 IS still considered the tallest building on earth, which by the way has been the titleholder after "snatching" it from the Petronas Towers back in 2004.

The Petronas on the other hand, is still the tallest TWIN towers in the world. ;)
