What a beautiful video...and such a perfect song to go with it...I've discovered Buster's work at a time in my life when I really needed it. I will be forever grateful for this, and this is one of the videos that "sums up" my gratitude in a way. Thank you.
@eMuse5 I'm so pleased that my friend and I could make something that makes you happy. I discovered Buster at a time when I needed it too, so I know how that feels. Enjoy exploring the great man's work. :)
Seriously, this gave me chills. It made my heart break and long to bask in the light that was Buster. I hope that one day our souls will meet...until then, I'll be dreaming of him...
Thanks, you did a wonderful job on this montage....very well crafted. Bet I'm not the only Buster Fangirl inserting myself into that last scene--which makes my heart flip over...
Fantastic montage and great editing. Thanks for this, Buster was an awesome actor. He could express a feeling just with his eyes, some actors can't do that with their whole body!!! Thanks again :-)
@TheComicStripCast Thank you very much! I'd make more but I worry about copyrighty things when using various songs..
A google search will probably bring up where Le Roi des Champs Elysees can be bought, I'm afraid I can't remember! It's not an official release, though.
@theinnerlight87 When the song says "I fall asleep with your clothes" it makes me think of him in the film What no Beer? when he is laying on the couch with his eyes closed smelling the women's dress. What film is 1:55 to 1:59 ?
Hi! I love this montage! Thank you for posting. It works very well with the song, too. I had one question: From what film is the last clip from? (The clip of him smiling and hugging a girl). It's so unusual to see Buster smile.
This is my new favorite Buster Keaton tribute video, for the very reason you made it: not to show off his insane stunts, but to show what a great actor he was. The other actors of his time were very exaggerated, but he managed to convey emotions both subtly and realistically. I'm glad you included scenes from "The Cameraman". That film is so sweet.
Wow.... I just wanted to thank you for this great, great clip! I mean, I haven't posted a shout on Youtube for months... 'till now. Great clips, great music!
Especially the part between 0:58 and 1:03... you created magic. Can you please tell me what movie it comes from?
It reminds me of this part in Edward Scissorhands, with the ice angel: /watch?v=FEuWh75hbA0 3:48 - 5:23.
Again, thank you for this clip, it really made my day, it's pure MAGIC!
I will comment in my language...esse é o video mais bonito que eu já vi!!! Por mais que fosse o "stoneface", Buster nunca deixou de lado o sentimento nas filmes, podemos até sentir o que ele sente nos filmes. Ele é incrivel e por esse e outros motivos que eu o amo. So! congratulations, this is the best tribute that I seen, wonderful. Such a beutiful work. And the song, is perfect.
This is just excellent -- very nice job! As a Buster Keaton lover for many years, I agree that he expresses a range of emotions even while not (usually) smiling. This montage is a delight!
Thank you very much! The first thing I noticed about Buster was his ability to convey emotions in a very subtle way, he was very much ahead of his time.
A beautiful tribute to a great talent who offered much more than acrobatics and clever gags. The lovely smile and embrace in slo-mo at the end wraps the montage up in a big, beautiful bow.
this is just beautiful. Thanks!
