  • *.* he's gorgeous when he smiles. and when he's not, too. ;)

  • From what movie comes the scene at 2:05 ? please,

    somebody knows ?

  • @honoluluu The Cameraman :)

  • @theinnerlight87 Thank you ! =D

  • What a beautiful video...and such a perfect song to go with it...I've discovered Buster's work at a time in my life when I really needed it. I will be forever grateful for this, and this is one of the videos that "sums up" my gratitude in a way. Thank you.

  • @eMuse5 I'm so pleased that my friend and I could make something that makes you happy. I discovered Buster at a time when I needed it too, so I know how that feels. Enjoy exploring the great man's work. :)

  • I love the last part where he is smiling at first you don't realize that it is him he looks so different when he is smiling.

  • OMG thank you for this video! Absolutely surreal!

  • Thanks, you did a wonderful job on this montage....very well crafted. Bet I'm not the only Buster Fangirl inserting myself into that last scene--which makes my heart flip over...

  • Buster is so beautiful. I love that you had the last scene of Sherlock Junior too.

  • Beautifully done! Thank you for posting this, the song goes so well with the scenes used!

  • Fantastic montage and great editing. Thanks for this, Buster was an awesome actor. He could express a feeling just with his eyes, some actors can't do that with their whole body!!! Thanks again :-)

  • @dk1039gd: "The Cameraman"

  • What is the movie when he falls to his knees with a bunch of stuff in his hands on the beach?????

  • also, the quality of the clips from The Cameraman are very clear. did you purchase the film from the boxset or did you get the film seperatly?

  • this was beautiful. thank you so much for posting. your video has made my day

  • I love it. Absolutely gorgeous collection of Buster's many faces, and the sound fits brilliantly!

I miss him so much, that sweetheart.

  • Beautiful! Just beautiful...

  • LOL 1:49- 1:54!! haha

  • Love this video. It so illustrates what a great actor Buster Keaton was. Thank you.

  • Complimenti per il video davvero bello!!! W Buster Keaton!!!

  • @theinnerlight87: This video has confirmed my secret belief that Buster Keaton was actually an angel :)

  • At first, I was like WTF. But the more I watched and listened, the more I enjoyed what you had put together. Nice editing. Good music.

  • What movie is the clip at 2:04 from??

  • @21JumpStreetKid The Cameraman :)

  • This may be your only video, but it's certainly one of the best Buster ones on YT - at least I think so. ;) Love your song choice too!

PS, Do you know where I can watch/get 'Le Roi des Champs-Élysées'?... never saw it.

  • @TheComicStripCast Thank you very much! I'd make more but I worry about copyrighty things when using various songs..

A google search will probably bring up where Le Roi des Champs Elysees can be bought, I'm afraid I can't remember! It's not an official release, though.

  • @theinnerlight87 Aww... I can understand you not making any more. This one video seems almost worth it though.

Also, thanks for the info. Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to find the film. ; )

  • @theinnerlight87 When the song says "I fall asleep with your clothes" it makes me think of him in the film What no Beer? when he is laying on the couch with his eyes closed smelling the women's dress. What film is 1:55 to 1:59 ?

  • @TheHarlean The film is 'Spite Marriage' (1929) :)

  • @theinnerlight87 Thank you too bad the film Spite marriage is not on youtube. Do you know where I could see it?

  • @TheHarlean I believe it's out on Region 1 DVD, but that's all so far!

  • What is this song?

  • @aguadechia Flashlight by The Botticellis

  • Can't believe it's been over a year since

And I still tear up at this

  • @hippiechild92 Our work here is done ;)

  • Hi! I love this montage! Thank you for posting. It works very well with the song, too. I had one question: From what film is the last clip from? (The clip of him smiling and hugging a girl). It's so unusual to see Buster smile.

  • @elizpip Thank you, glad you like it! The clip is from 'Le Roi des Champs-Élysées', made in France in 1934.

  • I love that Buster STILL has fangirls. LOL

This is my new favorite Buster Keaton tribute video, for the very reason you made it: not to show off his insane stunts, but to show what a great actor he was. The other actors of his time were very exaggerated, but he managed to convey emotions both subtly and realistically. I'm glad you included scenes from "The Cameraman". That film is so sweet.

  • @FlippinBooks Having fangirls after all these years is definitely an achievement ;)

Very glad you like the montage! :)

  • It is a beautiful smile...it's too bad we didn't get to see much of it in his films.

  • Great clip and a lovely choice of song. I love his expression at 0:36-0:40, what movie does that come from?

  • @Gudmundur Thank you! :) That clip is from the short film 'Good Night Nurse', directed by and starring Fatty Arbuckle, and featuring Buster.

  • Wow.... I just wanted to thank you for this great, great clip! I mean, I haven't posted a shout on Youtube for months... 'till now. Great clips, great music!

Especially the part between 0:58 and 1:03... you created magic. Can you please tell me what movie it comes from?

It reminds me of this part in Edward Scissorhands, with the ice angel: /watch?v=FEuWh75hbA0 3:48 - 5:23.

Again, thank you for this clip, it really made my day, it's pure MAGIC!

  • @ahjinry Thank you very much for your comment, how kind! Buster created the magic and I just added the music :)

The film in that clip is The Cameraman, Buster's first MGM film.

    (P.S. I love Edward Scissorhands!)

  • Wonderful job with the music and clips - simply beautiful.

(PS Which film do the clips with the ukulele come from?)

  • @Tsitsihon Thank you very much! The ukulele clip is from Steamboat Bill Jr. :)

  • What was that last clip from? He has such a beautiful smile it kind of warms your soul.

  • @ebhiggins90 Agreed :) The clip is from 'Le Roi des Champs Elysees', filmed in 1934 in France.

  • Hey can you upload the first motage you did....with 5000 miles? I accidently lost the link to where it was...it's my favorite! ;-)

  • @mgs617 Aww I'm glad you like it that much! I'm afraid I can't upload it though :( I tried it once and it wasn't allowed. Ho hum.

  • @theinnerlight87 Argh! Damn it! LOL!

Can you give me the link tho?

  • I can't understand why some people say he shows no emotions...he's an amazing actor and this video proves it.

Really great job, I'm saving this to my favourites :)

  • I was already in love with Buster. Now I'm swooning. Beautiful. Thank you.

  • I will comment in my language...esse é o video mais bonito que eu já vi!!! Por mais que fosse o "stoneface", Buster nunca deixou de lado o sentimento nas filmes, podemos até sentir o que ele sente nos filmes. Ele é incrivel e por esse e outros motivos que eu o amo. So! congratulations, this is the best tribute that I seen, wonderful. Such a beutiful work. And the song, is perfect.

  • He was such a beautiful man.

  • Probably one of the best things I've ever seen.

  • What a compliment, thank you so much! :)

  • This is just excellent -- very nice job! As a Buster Keaton lover for many years, I agree that he expresses a range of emotions even while not (usually) smiling. This montage is a delight!

  • Thank you very much! The first thing I noticed about Buster was his ability to convey emotions in a very subtle way, he was very much ahead of his time.

  • @theinnerlight87 Yes... :)

  • Do you have 'Le Roi...' on dvd? Could you possibly share more of it if you do? it's one I'd love to see.

  • me too. And.. Is possible to see "free and easy"?

  • I'm afraid it would be against copyright to upload either of them, I'm sorry!

But 'Free and Easy' is on Region 1 DVD and can be played with a multi region player. :)

  • love love LOVE it! I have made quite a few Buster videos...my best one probably being one called Thunderclap. You should check it out :D

  • Thank you! :) I've seen some of yours (probably all!) and I like them veeery much... shall watch again ;)

  • Cool :D I'll soon be uploading another one...check in a couple of days. :)

  • Um... what movies is that last clip from?

  • Le Roi des Champs-Elysees

  • A beautiful tribute to a great talent who offered much more than acrobatics and clever gags. The lovely smile and embrace in slo-mo at the end wraps the montage up in a big, beautiful bow.

  • BRILLIANT!!

  • Thank you again for such and amazing montage...you have such a talent...please make more they're terrific!

    <3 Buster forever

  • Thank you very much :) Who knows, maybe I won't be able to resist making more!

  • Bravo! Excellent choice of music, and the clip at the end from Le roi des Champs-Élysées....which I have never seen, but heard of...**sigh**

BTW, Buster passed away today 44 years ago.

  • Very glad you like it! :) Yes, that clip just blows me away... his whole face just lights up!

I just realised that myself, the date got away from me... RIP Buster. Gone but never forgotten xx

  • Beautifully done! You really accomplished what you set out to do with this montage. Thank you, it's wonderful!

  • My favourite video of all time! Perfect, beautiful, unforgettable. Yes, I like it:)

  • nicely made. love it!
