i think it's funny...people who say on here that panty hose is coming back and women should wear them....elegant, blah blah blah...I've noticed that there are not MANY women on here saying this, only men(most of them middle-aged or OLDER) Only men who want other women to wear them are saying this. Today it's about natural beauty and not covering up and looking fake. That's what women are all about today, embracing the women, not an image of what women are to men. Just thought I'd point that out!

Notice it's not jerks or players who prefer Hanes, but Gentlemen. A girl who dresses like the one in this commercial could have her choice of men. It shows a great amount of class in her appearance, which says a lot about her overall attitude.

It's no wonder that, with a steady diet of these commercials and women wearing pantyhose and stockings all around us that so many of us feel somewhat high and dry in the U.S. these days (except for here and JBVid). I'm befuddled as to why the manufacturers seemed to give up in the 1990s and why women seem to think their legs look good/sexy bare! If only the herd could be steered back. Celebrities could start the move back? Barista stand employees (under bikinis)?

@rjflesher I've been reading this recently, too, couldn't believe the headline about pantyhose being back (perhaps), a story on this about 3 weeks ago re: Catherine (search Duchess Catherine pantyhose for a sampling). I've been writing for awhile that if only some celebs wore hose in their movies, but this could work if it would spread across the pond (it has, reportedly, spurred a surge in sales nude pantyhose in the U.K.) and the it's a heresy/herd mentality doesn't win!

An ex once told me he HATED pantyhose...that the only time it was acceptable was a pair of sheer white nylons with an office suit on a young lady, but they better come off before happy hour. Notice I said "ex" I married a man who LOVES the sophistication of stockings. I don't feel right in the office without them, unless it's casual jeans day, and I'll wear them even then if their nice jeans with dress shoes.

I watch the news and some women legs like Gomez, Huddy, and MacCallum would look better if they wore pantyhose. Pantyhose makes a womens legs look better and I prefer if they would wear pantyhose.

Women look so much better wearing stockings or pantyhose......bare legs look like a woman has not finished dressing.....all that makeup on their faces, but lumps, bumps, red marks and huge toes sticking out of their shoes. When I was growing up Women did wear stocking/pantyhose and they looked their best, I can't believe that the companies who make pantyhose don't get some good ads like this one out there to show how good their products are.

I remember seeing this commercial in the fall of 1983 while watching the season premiere of either "Remmington Steele" or "The A Team" (I can't remember which one it was). This is one of my favorite pantyhose commercials. Thanks for posting it.
