I think Lionel Conacher deserves to have a holiday named in his honour. Since it's unlikely we could convince the powers to be to create a new holiday, some friends of mine and I are campaigning to have the May 2-4 weekend renamed from "Victoria Day Weekend" to the "Lionel Conacher May 2-4 Weekend" for the reasons stated at DogOnARoot*com (search for Lionel Conacher).
