I found this novel called The Suicide Game that feels like a Tarantino movie and even has a character that seems to be Tarantino himself. It features a black hitman, a murderous priest, and a gay phone sex operator. I downloaded it for free at smashwords . com and it was awesome.
A lot of people think that this scene is just empty banter, but it really demonstrates how shallow and what an airhead Vincent is. He goes to Amsterdam and eats in McDonald's, and all he can talk about is smoking hash? That becomes important later in the movie when we find out that Jules is spiritual and Vincent is not. Remember, all dialogue in a Quentin Tarantino movie is load-bearing. There's nothing empty or irrelevant here.
What we put on fries over here in Amsterdam is not the same stuff as the US mayonaise. US mayonaise got 80% fat and our 'frietsaus' only 20%.
Different stuff, same name. Oh yeah, it's both yellowish.
You should try it. Oh, I once ordered mayonaise to go with my fries in a McDonalds in the US. Got it for free, like mustard. It tasted like shit I can tell you.
@hankdendrijver This was back in the '90s when things were likely different. Plus, Tarantino was in Amsterdam when he wrote part of this film. He wrote what he saw there. Besides, McDonalds is disgusting anywhere you go. It's the worst here in America.
@Transformers2themax Back in the 90s? I'm from 68 brother. I know Tarantino was here, I lived right around the corner of his coffee shop, on the Derde Looiersdwarsstraat 5-2.
You are wrong, mayonaise is an oldschool recipe and always has very high fat content, around 80%. Frietsaus come into existence because of the low fat hype. Both are delicious, but I prefer mayonaise, especially "puntzak friet" which is always served with mayonaise.
Dunno how the mayo taste in the US, prolly like shit.

They can't just search you here in the US either. In fact, they can't even ask for your ID if you haven't done anything wrong.

Dutch mayo is made largely of chicken eggs. I sure as hell don't want to know what American mayo is made of.
