I'm so glad the the WA Democrat Party tries to cue in ethnic stereotypes. Doesn't Seattle, and King County for that matter, have a rich history of Italian communities? What's next, you want to attack the Irish, because Mr. Rossi has some of that in him too!
Nothing, obviously. Everyone has a medulla oblongota. I like the Dust Brothers. Not so much A3, except that one song. I am, however, a big fan of both The Sopranos and Fight Club.
None of that is the point.
I am referring to the fact that in the Dems' LAST version of the ad, they tried to leverage negative Italian stereotypes, via the theme from The Sopranos, to create a negative image of an Italian, Dino Rossi.
And now they just want no one to notice. But they can't wipe it away.
Renegade worker?! Oh come on. This ad was approved of by the state party, headed by Pelz. Either Pelz knew about it beforehand, or he let someone put it up without his knowledge. Either way, he is to blame, not some "renegade."
And 1972 was *before I was even born.* If you wanna go back that far, why not just let's talk about how the Democratic Party fought a war to defend slavery! This ad wasn't 36 years ago, it was just a bit over 36 *days* ago. Big difference. Seriously.

For the record, Al Rosselini, a Democrat was attacked by the Evans for being of Italian heritage.

for the record, I'm not Republican.

I admit, that was a bad move to use the Sopranos theme. What the hell were they thinking?

Obviously they agree that it's "sleaz," seeing as they took it off

Hmmm. It just doesn't have the same effect without the racist tune, does it?

The democrats amuse me -- they control the LEGISLATURE, the JUDICIARY, the GOVERNOR's mansion...and bitch about the BIAW.
AS IF! they were more powerful than the Teamsters, SEIU, AFL-CIO, NARAL, FUSE, ACORN, and WEA.
I only WISH the BIAW was that powerful.
The Democrats don't fool anybody.

You can't wipe away your racism. Nice try though.

I think the Sopranos smear was a renegade worker who was removed from the campaign. Al Rosselini was smeared by Republicans for being Italian in '72.

I have been taken to task for things my ancestors are said to have done 2000 years ago. So much for statute of limitations.
