  • Seriously, why is this good? Literally anyone could have filmed this. I have a firm belief: if someone with no talent in a given field can do it, it's NOT art. For example, I am not a film maker, yet I could do this = NOT art. Another example, splashing paint on a canvas, or on your body and then rolling on the canvas = NOT art.

  • @LittleTreeX what is art in you opinion?

  • @lakeland2 I am pretty sure I just defined it, or at least defined what it isn't. But if you need examples: Rembrandt, Alex Grey, Michelangelo.

  • @LittleTreeX

Yes, you could do this, but you didn't. The fact that someone made the decision to "create" this is what makes it art.

  • @jerzeyb Ok, so let's say I placed a snickers bar on a bowl of spaghetti, and then filmed it for an hour in black and white while saying "It's poo-ghetti, you like poo-ghetti" over and over. You're suggesting, that because I decided to "create" this absolute garbage, that it suddenly becomes art? No. It doesn't.

  • @LittleTreeX If your intention was to evoke an emotion, a thought, an idea, or to gain or share a perspective then, yes i would believe it "becomes" art. If your intention was purely to make a point, then I would still say it was art. Unintended, but art none-the-less. Perhaps you're a genius failing to reach your potential. Keep those ideas coming LittleTreex you're bound to strike gold!

  • @LittleTreeX It isMEANT to make you think that. Just the fact that the film made you watch it, and made you discredit all art means that it only succeeded its purpose.

  • @imPuLse1x2 You know this because you filmed it? Oh, wait you didn't and therefore have absolutely no way of knowing what this guy intended or his purpose. Please refrain from thinking you know the intentions of others unless they tell you directly. Your assumptions are meaningless to me. Even if this was the intended purpose, it still doesn't make it art. It simply means this guy succeeded in giving an example of what art wasn't.

  • @LittleTreeX Whatever you would like to tell yourself. :>

  • Yes! Im danish!

  • Stupid. Like Von Trier

  • Yes. There he is.

Why does he move like that? How does he move like that? Look at him. Look at him now. And now. Look at him all the time.

  • Boring. Just boring.

  • Perhaps this film suggests that it is perfect to struggle with questions such as "why is joy so brief?" and to hope to undertstand things which we do not yet have a grasp on?

  • no gattaca yes to titan yes to ehtan hawk and happy ending but no death for jude law's character we R ALL perfect pls pels epse sfm\;f no

  • what the heck does this mean???

  • For school im planning on making a 5minute 'spoof' of this called 'The Imperfect Human'. I will only have a male character and am watching it to see how i can spoof it. any ideas would be great (2weeks after this post will not help tho lol)

  • I DON' GET THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ScottsShadow look into you heart, lol

  • Thats a reply to zackzombie69. Dont know why my replies aren't posting properly.

  • Definately better in the danish version. You get a lot more of the actual expression of the film with the original narrator, who I believe is Jørgen Leth himself.

One of the best (meta)documentaries ever!

The five Obstructions is a really great film as well for those interested.

  • Genius! Love this film

  • What's name is song?

    Hinning Christiansen - ?

  • The movie "Five Obstructions" is a good movie to see the five different ways this movie was "remade" for anyone who finds this interesting.

  • I absolutely agree with you. During that film, Jorgen made a 2002 version, you know, the one filmed in Brussels.

  • Look at him all the time.

  • that was my birthday!

  • Claus Nissen (the perfect man) died 29 April 2008. Sigh.

  • i don't see it

  • You cant see it. The Perfect Human on Youtube is like the Mona Lisa on a postage stamp.

Watch it on a big screen and definitely in Danish.

  • I wouldn't enjoy watching this video even if I were payed to, but your comment wins regardless.

  • Look at him all the time. The Perfect Short Film.

  • amazing! love the narrator's voice!!

  • Perfect Film. Perfect Jorgen.

  • Masterpiece. Thanks for sharing the film.
