Amazing to see Shira is now 5 years old! Her dad (and family) have done a wonderful job with her! Given the circumstances, Shira seems to be thriving in her own way under the constant care of her father and I pray that SMA Cure is found soon!!

I have type 2, as well as my younger brother Alex. He is much weaker than me. I give you a lot of credit for what you do everyday... last year the same thing happened to him, and he was intibated for a month because of collapsed lungs from a cold that turned into full pneumonia within a day. I am 17 and he is going to be 16 soon... research is getting so advanced... I hope it not only benefits the lives of me, him, and your little Shira, but every other person fighting this. =] She is adorable.
