@microdot its interesting because you are totally right. Technology has a way of freezing itself in time. They used some funky crap to record music back then.

@subsamadhi I experienced it live....I was very involved in this world back in the late 70's and early 80's. I was the "roadie" for Branca as well as a friend and of course a musician as well. He really influenced how I hear and create. What Branca does live is create aural physical hallucinations.The sum of the overtones, interference patterns and volume create another level of sound that I have only experienced "live".

@microdot That's cool I got into Sonic Youth when I was younger I've seen them live a few times. I saw Thurston Moore live last summer herre where I live. I never got into Glenn Branca a whole lot I'm not really into the strictly instrumental thing unless it's classical music. Must've been fun though.

@jasonbigelow yes... but if you read the Sonic Youth biography you'll find that Brinca actually loves and supports sonic youth for what they do... he said that he almost "came [his] pants" when he herd them jam together for the first time.
