I would much rather hear that "overgrown old VW" sound than a small displacement powerplant that sounds like it has severe digestive problems -- i.e. a fart can. And that fart can usually has fancy rims, a 100,000 watt stereo system with severely distorted base, and a $1.95 primered body kit that was never made to fit that particular car. We've all seen them, and many of us have a good chuckle as they botttom out on anything less than smooth roadways. BTW, nice video!!

Ok, what I meant to say was bass, not base :) and get rid of one of the "t"s on bottom. Also, my '99 Nissan Sentra was expensive to fix; and it wasn't nearly as much fun as my 2.5i SE Impreza.

I personally wished there was more engine sounds than music. You know, the Impreza is a bad ass car. Let that baby purr and sing to its fullest extent at full speed. Speaking of sounds, that's what you get with a Subaru boxer/horizontally-opposed engine. Sweet stuff. Only sweeter sounds would be some of those Group B rally cars back in the day.

Yeah, cant argue with that. However, a shorter final drive ratio would be better for rally. Unless the car is also your every day driver. The top speed is just not necessary
