Wicked little tank mate! What type of substrate are you using? I have heard that Glossostigma feeds more of what nutrients are in the water in the water column?
Sweet looking tank! Great job. You might consider adding a black background. I did that to my 120 and it really helped set a contrast for the green plants. My tank is low tech so I don't have to mow the plants as much as you do. :-)
I'm starting my own glosso-carpet as well. Wondering what to do with the fertilizer the first week or so after the trimming. Do you add the same amount of fertilizer before and after the trimming of the glosso or do you cut down the amount?
It attaches to the outlet side of the filter, the water is heated as it passes through.
And I also have an inline co2 diffuser. Later on I plan on getting glass pipes and a rimless tank, this will give less distractions and more emphasis on the scape itself.
Incredible Video! Couple Questions... Can the Glossostigma adapt to low-medium lighting? And can Glossostigma grow well with a liquid CO2, for instance Flourish Excel.
Glossostigma can adapt to low-medium lighting but it may not carpet and just grow vertical instead of horizontal. I have seen some instances where excel works, but I have not done so myself, so I can't give a definite answer.
wow. so beautiful. That looks like my dream aquarium! By the way, what type of lighting is that? How many watts? Are you using any fertilizers or co2 injections?

i hate trimming glosso. it grows dense carpets upon dense carpets. it really gets out of control

Interesting lights. Wood looks insignificant, either remove it or make more prominent, the same with rocks. Otherwise healthy growth

will they survive without co2??
elkingtr 7 months ago
@elkingtr
depending on the setup, it can survive without Co2 injection, but it is highly recommended to supply Co2 for proper growth.

is your lighting considered high lighting.... cuase the glosso's are carpeting....???
bluedisk0123 10 months ago
@bluedisk0123
yes it's high lighting, which does help it carpet instead of it wanting to grow vertical.
