How do you slow down the minimize? I used to know how to make the minimizing or hiding go very slow, but I forgot.

Hold down Shift, and then press minimize, or the yellow button!

Got it! Thank you! This is especially cool using this way to minimize other than the scale or genie effect - type this in Terminal: defaults write com.apple.dock mineffect suck and the windows will "suck" down instead of doing genie or scale. To undo it select genie or scale in Preferences.

You can't, you have to close the window. So if ur using something like text edit, just save it and quit, if you have like browser open, just copy the url and open again. This trick is just for showing off! LOL
