  • some good sound advice.i'm disabled walking a long distance is not going to go well for me

  • this what talking to hear yourself talk sounds like.

  • Dude...thanks for your video...you changed my thinking...I'm staying put and working with neighbors until circumstances get dire enough to force me out. My scenario is to be ready to be self sufficient from my home, not out in the woods. I may need to do daily excursions with neighbors but it's not a total 'Bug Out' situation for me either.

  • In such an emergency, even in a city, bugging out will not necessarily be feasible. A big disaster happens and all the roads are jammed, where are ya gonna go and then you're stuck in your vehicle on the road instead of. Just have food and water storage wherever you are. Learn gardening and growing food, learn some natural medicine, know how to fix things and you'll make it. Most people don't have wilderness survival skills anyway. Get together with like minded people and work together.

  • and if u live in the country an r prepared but u have close family that lives in suburbs close to the city u should talk to them about side roads/country roads to get to u because if ur thinking about going to try and get them its a one in abillion chance u find them and make it out all together its best to pray and hope they find u if they no how to get to u and where u r u will have a much better chance of seeing them again

  • You need to make sure you have some competent friends to help you out during SHTF. My plan is to look for places like yours and take them, provided the target is weak enough. And hey, dont hate, without people like me and my team, there wouldnt be a SHTF, it would just be a power outage.

  • By far one of the best videos i have seen since Mr. Lock and Load quit making videos. Great job.

  • As soon as you tell yourself you "cant" do something then you can't. People live in war zones with infants all over the world and they pick their azz's up and leave and damn the excuses. Focus on getting the job done, accept/adapt/act. I call it the 3 A's. If WROL that means "as we know it" meaning our home lives are over. So accept it, go where danger is NOT an issue, where you won'thave to kill hundreds and your kids won't be shot at by hundreds either. Tiny kids easily learn stealth quickl

  • Glad I don't have young kids however, If I did, I'd grab a wheelbarrel, slap my kids and gear in it and take off. I live in a state that is wall to wall trees. Dont need to own the land just find somewhere to hide. If you have a driveway, its a clear neon sign to others, exactly where to find you. You can pick off 100 perhaps but thousands will come. Your luck at home will run out. So I'm outta here on day one and worry about tresspassing later. Pioneers landed here with zero and kids too.

  • hobbies are not that expensive, unless you have an expensive hobby? LOLOLOL!

  • yeah...............dont think your gonna break a polymer pistol by dropping it. would much rather have a XD/Glock than a finicky and heavy 1911 with far less capacity. great vid though, more realistic outlook on the what if thing. these guys that are armed to the teeth are ready for war not survival. sure they may hold off an army but 4 days without water and that tacticool ak with all the bells and whistles wont do much good. Wish i had 150 acres:-)

  • That said I use my bug out bag for my vehicle to get BACK HOME!!

  • Am I the only one preparing if I get stranded in my vehicle?? We are in our cars driving around 50% of the time. What preperations have you made if you get stuck in your vechile and have to hump it outta there on foot? I see alot of people leaving them vunerable in this avenue!

  • @kcrone1 yeah seriously!! ive thought about that several times; i keep my handgun; ammo, sleeping bag, water/MREs; flashlight/batteries; sweatshirt/sweatpants/gloves/cold weather gear; etc.. in my car at all times. Also, a holster and a small but well-made backpack to carry it all. Nothing would suck worse than being on the side of some road when the SHTF. It's a decent load that will get me to wherever i need to go should it happen. Few people plan for that scenario!

  • I have to agree.... If you have a large track of land in the country, it's probably better to stay put.

  • I would avoid urban areas, carry multi-use equipment, and carry the one gun and sidearm that will last me forever. The rest of the guns will stay behind. People stock up on so much stuff in their basements and whatnot but most of that will have to be abandoned. Water, shelter, food are my priorities. I only rely on battle-tested guns with common parts, common calibers, and easy fixes. I've learned valuable WROL skills that can at least keep me alive and help me trade for what I need.

  • Keeping put on private property should be plan A. But keep in mind, all those BOB's are headed somewhere... and it isn't to the city. That means "desperate" BOB'ers, after their one week supply of food runs out, will resort to violence trying to take what you have, by any means necessary. Just something to think about.

  • ok you dont need mc Donalds.. Thats assume dude ! How you doing ?

  • You make some valid points and as you know, man plans, God laughs. Point is, do what you have to do. 200 years ago there were lots of nomads, including small children. Staying home is a plan, bugging out is a plan. Either, neither or both might work, it all depends on the person(s), location and situation. Having awareness, essential supplies, knowledge, skills and tools are all important. "Wisdom is knowing what to do. Skill is knowing how to do it. Virtue is actually doing it." Time will tell!

  • Good video. I think the situation will dictate whether I (and most people I would guess) stay at home or bug out. If it is at all possible I would stay at home. But if the situation calls for a "bug out" IMO you need to have that in the plans. Bottom line "have a plan"!

  • I agree with you!

  • its easy to rant about not bugging out when you sit on over 100 acres with wells

  • You have 150 acres. YOUR SAFE

  • alot of people dont realize there better off staying home

  • Mmmm Cat. You just reminded me of The Book of Eli. And I agree, we need to work together in order to survive as a whole. I live near the coast in a populated city, so would heading out in sea with a solar desalination device be advisable?

  • @yogurtlick taking into account the weather and if you can find "safe harbor" upon returning to land ,I personally living near the gulf of mexico awhile back, might attempt it -but you cant do it for long periods...even hydroponic gardens need minerals from the soil replenished from time to time.

  • @timberwuf78 ...I like how you said, "it doesn't matter, we grow it. " That clearly says you are growing weed too. You really like a pot smoker and I can tell you are even high in this video, the way you just keep making shit up.

  • i live on a 10 acre lot i own im a bushcraft man mostly i agree with you makeing moonshine is a very valuble skill

  • Finally, a guy who KNOWS what he's talking about. I've gotten sick of listening to all these "how-to's" for zombies and what-not. What if an EMP hits? That's almost WORSE than a zombie invasion. Thanks, for sharing this with the community, sir.

  • @545Krinkify Whatever.I really don't need your advice.

  • @545Krinkify Thanks for the advice.Dude,my family consists of my mother(who is coming with me),my sisters(who have their own plans) and my grandfather (who owns the place). Please, think before you make stupid comments.

  • i think i'll just resort to cannibalism lololol

  • nice review close to my thoughts but better put together thanx

  • For me = Bug out to a mountain cabin and survive on fish & game.

  • Sound like u from dwn south, anywhere near newmadrid seismic zone? Would hate fir u to have to leave your homestead.

  • the nicest thing is you live on your own land;

  • Excellent vid. man it really got me thinking I thank you for that and thank you for severing in the military I appreciate it.

  • This is one thing through most of the videos I have noticed. No one talks about the fitness level required to move 15- 20 miles per day with weight on your back. Eat right exercise daily, learn some survival skills and prepare to bunker in or to bug out. Just my 2 cents for everyone. Was not directed at any one person.

  • learn some trapping skills and be prepared to bug out in a scenario, not only stocking up on supplies but get healthy now. Everyone talks about their guns and everything , but what about putting 50-70lbs or more on back and going for a big run or hike. Nice to have 8 guns but the reality of carrying them and ammo with food and water. Well lets say you wont get to far. I am an avid survivalist as well as backpacker. workout and get healthy now. People stop eating Mc D's

  • I agree 100% with what your saying. I am in the suburbs of a middle sized city and we plan to dig in here. Already growing food and collecting water. There is a river and nature preserves in walking distance and family with some land a little further. Plan to get some land and move out but thats years off.

  • I agree alot to what you're saying but still have a backup plan. What if a natural disaster hits and you have to bugout REALLY quick.?A couple of packed bags would really be nice to have.

  • As a retired Marine Captain , I recommend you come up with a better plan. If not, you sould pick up that 45. , put five rounds in it, and, well, I think you can guess. i understand that could protect them, but for how long. Eventually that aquifer is going to dry up, your going to run out of cats, deer, ammo, etc. What if the problem is long term, your going to die sometime. Will they know how to protect themselves? Think about it.

  • @robinholtcody : Sir, military training tells us not to disclose information..not saying I dont have another plan- just trying to get others to THINK ! Everydody dies, not everydody trulv lives. Thank you for your service Sir!! From one veteran to another.

  • @robinholtcody "Aquifer is going to dry up".....omg get real. This man and his family will most likely outlast most non preppers.

  • @sam33256 : from a former NBC NCO for the U.S. Military....if you can see it (the explosion) your screwed. I d rather be at ground zero than watch my family and friends suffer a slow painfull death , but yes I think the location we are at will have a better chance of survival - but you cant plan for everything - sometimes you just have to chance it.

  • @timberwuf78 What if the wind is blowing the other way or you run away from it on a motorcycle that has a carburetor.

  • i just built a small chicken coop...if you do it right chickens are a great asset for survival...

  • @angrynhpatriot : many benafist of chickens...eggs,meat,fletching,fertalizer, and there not that demanding!!

  • @timberwuf78 Why'd you have 3 kids, overpopulation is a big threat to our resources.

  • You are absolutly right in everything you have said here. Your family should be your number one priority. stay focused and stay in control. There is nothing as strong as the strength of a family............Charles

  • very helpful information

  • ar 7 a good rifle. Don't ever say you can't go anywhere. A natural disaster can wipe you out anytime It's happening all the time, especially if you live in the south. So your not prepared if you say you can't go anywhere.

  • Thank you for the help and inf I'm making a plan now and going to my local gun show to stock up what are some good cheap guns I might need I already have a 9mm for home defense just looking for a rifle and shotgun I'm interested in your opinion on brands and calibers

  • @fackyoutoobe2 look into a 1911 45 - a 223 and a 22 rifle the 1911 45 is a good gun and has become the prefered carry of alot of citizens making it versatile and easy to find parts(stay away from LLAMA) the 223 is carried by the military and rounds are in surplus and the 22 is a good cheap all around rifle! as for brands...well you have to look into what feels good to you not necesarily the most expensive!!

  • Great Vid, good info! Like your common sense approach... Funny to see people talking about bugging out without including family, etc, you are only as fast as your slowest member. Please keep the common sense vids on... They are hard to find!

  • amen brother! check out analitical survivor. very good video. common sense stuff. but the jackass in his audi cutting peopl eoff on the road do not get it. 95 % of society will just surcombe to the end. and if your prepared. its not the end. well for ones who are capable and efficiant. amen brother!

  • I can tell that you are extremely intelligent. And the fact that your video is good is shown in the ratings. Keep on trucking.

  • great info, thanks for making it.

  • Good vid, actually watched the whole thing.

  • %100 agreed; i wtill laugh when i see these "bug out bag" vids with 100lb bags and everything but the sink...i really would love to see them hump that crap while being chased and shot at...

  • I'm definitely getting out of were i live, i live next to a huge ghetto were every one of the people there are on welfare, no major grocery stores, and if there's no food in the store, not to be racist but im one of the only white people in my city so there coming to my house, thats just how it is

  • @m70c00l : But do you have a plan? planning is the most important part, where will you go, how fast can you bug out, what will you take with you, these and other questions are part of "getting ready".

  • @m70c00l

If you're one of the few white people then I don't think you live in a city.

  • the focus on any "stay at home" group/family should be community.... and if you can or need to bring outside help... im always open to helping my fellow Americans and able bodied persons are always a help!!

  • Great video! You make very good points. Are you looking for tenants?

  • I'm with you brother, I have a 3 and 5 yr old bugging out is not an option.

  • Nice info... just amazes me how Americans have been blinded by convenience, got lazy, and watched Old tarditions be forgoton... older generation is being forgoton, and relpaced with a young Brain washed, lazy Kids.. Alot of ppl are asleep.. I AM AWAKE..!! good video.. Thanks..!!

  • I live on a farm also and like you I have no intensions of leaving. I'll protect what I have right here.

  • Good video. Buging out is my LAST resort. It is harder than one thinks and no one wants to take in someone with nothing but a pack.

  • Can I trade you a micro chip bracelet for some food??

  • I sub, keep up the good vid

  • lucky for us we dont have a direct driveway and have the ability to "bottleneck" . We planned for ALOT of things before we decided to build here-no direct acess...cant be seen from the road...surrounding area has more potential for hunting and growing...you cant plan for everything, but you can do as much as possable!!!

  • Nice video...however, I've heard from others who do "SHTF" videos that those who do live in the city and 'bug out' during an EXTREME SHTF situation..will go out into the 'country' and though you might be able to fend off a few folks...how well would you and your family do against a dozen or so 'well armed' individuals who are after what you have on your land? Just asking...
