  • Te Amo Sue Lyon =D

  • I have a version of this by THE VENTURES, but I don't know if it's on Youtube.

  • Great lyrics.

  • @KnockelII Yup :=)

  • hated this movie. it was so different from the book. the 1997 one is just as bad. she's beautiful, though.

  • @t33ngoth As two seperate entities, I can appreciate them both. I (unfortunately, as die-hards would say) I saw the Kubrick film before reading the novel. I'd known beforehand that the book would be much more graphic, but I found the character of Humbert even more shocking, finding that there would be absolutely no sympathizing with him, after being charmed by James Mason. I am equally disturbed, as a Kubrick freak, knowing that if I had read the novel first, I would have loathed the film.

  • This is more profound than pop music today.

  • Great song and an awesome movie!

  • Nelson Riddle nailed it….ya ya...

  • Sue Lyon was 14 when this film was made.

  • Love Lolita !

  • WOW!!!! WONDERFUL!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG AND THE FILM!!! THANK YOU FOR POSTING =D

  • @beatlettese You are welcome.

  • It's funny: when put into proper context between the film and the novel, this song is supposed to represent the trite, soulless, awful music that the youth were listening to.

  • @icarus212001 Fifty years later, doesn't it, though?

  • @nauort23 No joke, man.

  • thanks

  • @zepoe You are welcome.

  • god she was cute!!!!!!

  • I saw her first!

  • sue lyon is one of the most beautiful women i have ever seen ,in my life.......

  • When I saw the movie, I was blown away by this song, and the role it plays in the movie (just after Humbert and Lolita "play a game" together...). It should be available on any Ventures compilations as it one of their most important songs, after "walk, don't run", "hawaii 5-0", and a few others.

  • The 60's is fast becoming the epic decade of nostalgia.

A few weeks ago, I saw a large glass Mountain Dew soda bottle sell on Ebay for $3,000!

  • @NoLongerFooled It's been the epic decade of nostalgia for a LONG time

    Get with the programme !

  • @kiribula : - )

  • The theme song from the 1962 movie Lolita.

  • "I think it was your cherry pie..." This Nelson Riddle song might just be the best part of this completely overrated Kubrick film adaptation of the genius Nabokov novel which shot over the ya-ya heads of 20th C America. Watching the uberannoying Sellers get riddled (not Nelson this time) with bullets is another enjoyable bit.

  • Love this little tune! So sexy 60's!

  • Excellent! Does anyone know where I can get an MP3 of this track?

    thanks!

  • watching the film right now on tcm :)

i love it when this little jingle comes on

  • i wonder if she did the ya-yas in the film. the voices sound awfully similar

  • @ilcourtlesfilles Been so long since I've seen the film, so I can't say.

  • @ilcourtlesfilles I've heard that it is, but I don't think so.

  • @ilcourtlesfilles no, she didn't do it

  • Thank you! I watched with movie and I thought it was an interesting little song!

  • You are welcome.

  • With a "beeee"....

  • Superp! Very good!

  • Thanks for commenting; it is appreciated.

  • Thanks for posting it, you did us a real service! Even though the movie was advertised `for persons over 18 years of age', I was able to see it at age 10 because the management must have assumed kids would soon fall asleep after the picture started.

I'd find out the next day, August 5th.,that we were watching it during Marilyn Monroe's final hours.

Bless you Sue, you were beautiful!

  • You're welcome.

  • yyaaaaaaaaaaaayaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    lolita!

peter sellers dancing in lolita :D

  • Beautiful!! I've searched this song since... yesterday XD

By the way, yesterday I watched the film again (I got the DVD, mwahaha!!), and the performance of everyone was excellent!! TwT

  • Sue Lyon was beautifically gorgeous in Lolita. She has the most fantastic looks..A real diamond..Thanx very much for posting btw..nice one, bfn.. ^_^

  • You're welcome.

  • This is a GREAT version of this song! Was it the one used in the movie? I've heard another version by Nelson Riddle, and one by the Ventures (which is great btw :)) Thanks.

  • I can't be sure. Some sources say this is the Nelson Riddle version with Sue's vocals added in.

  • i just love hearing Sue sing this. after seeing her act all cute in the film it's kinda cool to hear her hit that high note haha

  • Thanks for commenting.

  • It doesn't sound like the one in the movie. The scene where Humbert meets Lolita and you hear the theme the first time is listed under the Related Videos to the right - hear for yourself.

  • sweet song

  • great movie, where can i download sue lyons version of the song?

  • So glad that you are posting again. Such fun.

  • Glad that you enjoyed the song; thanks for the rating and comments.
