Babylon was the capital city of the Babylonian Empire (modern day Iraq), and of course Jersualem is itself a city, the capital of Israel. The civilization that preceded Babylon, was Sumeria, of the Sumerians. Ur of the Chaldees was part of the Sumerian Empire, and was the original home of Abraham. So, Abraham himself was originally a Sumerian. Much of Genesis can be attributed to Sumerian mythology, most notably the Flood story.

revelations is not a book to base doctrine on...only the life, death and resurrection should be seen and percieved as reality and validity of God's word. Love one another even if you have to sacrifice yourself for another to live. You dont just give your tithes and offering thats actually ONLY old testament such nonsense we have today in so called 'churches'. I can study for myself and I can understand scripture plainly. Very interesting and I agree with much of what you said, though my conclusions are not drawn from a religious base (I'm not religious) but from learning about human nature and operation of governments. We have to be debt free and reclaim our society, and we can no longer trust the government, who has been working to deceive us for decades. The worst is yet to come, probably, so time for us to wake up, recognize, and prepare.

The book of Revelation has no S in it. It is singular representing the REVELATION of Jesus Christ. America is not in Biblical prophecy except for a possible reference to the "young lions of Tarshish" which might be Great Britain. Oh by the way, when Jewish settlers came to America in the 19th century to escape persecution the first city they settled in they named Babylon. Babylon is located on Long Island in New York. There is a Water Tower on Fire Island in Babylon that ships use to navigate into the harbor as well. The water tower has the name Babylon on it.
