Dave Reichert didn't catch the Green River Killer, science did. If we were waiting for Reichert to catch the GRK, Gary Ridgway would still be painting trucks at Kenmore and strangling Rainier Ave. hookers.

@DartmouthAlum96 he even stated here in his speech that it wasn't only just him who caught Gary Ridgway but hundreds of individuals. But back in the late 80's he was the first person that had a hunch that it was Ridgway though.

@jokerzw1lde Are you kidding me? From whom did you hear that Ridgway was developed as a suspect based on Reichert's hunch? Ridgway became a suspect because Marie Malvar's pimp and father found his truck and turned him in to the Des Moines Police. Reichert consistently dismissed Ridgway as a suspect over the years, and instead invested his time pursuing Melvyn Foster (based on the advice of a psychic no less).

Don't be naive. Ridgway is in prison in spite of Reichert, not because of him.
