  • it said unrefined when purchasing it and it really is light, maybe the lighting int he video is off. thanks though

  • i've seen yellow shea butter straight from the "block." i've heard different things; that the color difference is merely based on the location of africa it's harvested from and i've heard from some africans that the light is for those w/ oily skin and the yellow is for those w/ dry skin. i've used both and always unrefined to whip my own. they both work just as effectively...for me and friends/family.

  • you scared the mess out of me with the mixer lol but i like this vedio

  • lol sorry..

    Thanks for watching!

  • HI

No it did not feel grainy at all, the shea butter was very soft and smooth. I did buy mango butter and that was grainy when I opened the package and even after I blended it, it was still grainy. Was your shea butter grainy from the start? If so then I'm not sure how to get the grains to leave other than melting down the butter. However melting may get rid of some of the natural properties (not totally sure about that). If your shea wasnt grainy from the start then just blend it longer.

  • did it still feel a little grainy after mixing. Mine always does so I stopped mixing. Maybe it is my shea butter. Please let me know:)Yours looks nice and creamy

  • another youtuber found that her mixures where grainy to. It turned out that she was sold shea butter that was premixed with something else. It was not pure unrefined shea. From my experience i have never had grainy shea mixtures. Try changing your shea brand and see if that helps. Mixing your own is fun and cheaper,so dont give up.

  • thanks for sharing this information.
