Hair Dye Adventure!!

I really love that color. I have natural dark hair but I decided to go blonde and now I want to go dark again. I might try this cause I love that the blue isn't too crazy but you can actually see this. Thank you for posting!!

I'm dying my hair this exact color today!! I use to be a salon only girl until I decided one day to try it out myself I mean I bought all the things at Sally's for about twenty bucks so I had nothing to lose! If anyone wants a nice jet black color however I highly recommend the ion color brilliance hair color in jet black it's super creamy ...It doesn't smell at all!! Which I love and doesn't fade quickly like other hair dyes but today I wanted a more blue black look so I'm trying that out.

wow...it looks very pretty!You could coat the surface on you forehead and sides before u dye your hair with vaseline and it will prevent any dark staining on your skin.

if you want to take the colour from your hairline just mix some ash with eye make up remover and then rub it to the surface !!!

You are naturally very pretty. In my opinion with your colouring ( i.e. skin tone and lovely blue eyes) a mahogany shade would look really nice. I could also see you going the opposite directin with shades on golden blonde. The black is a little too overpowering on you.

I am not that fond of dyed black hair on women overall. Only very few (I should add Caucasion women) can get get away with this. Really dark brown dyed hair also suits a select few as well. It can age a person.

i jut dyed my hair this EXACT color and so far i love it! the color is perfect! the only problem i had ith it is that it dripped while waiting the 25 minutes, i had blue marks on my forehead and chest for 2 days! i swear i was a total smurf.

you're supoosed to use 20 developer unless you are willing to leave it longer with 10 vol.

@jennaxrae17 well generally you use 20 vol for dye. 10 makes no difference whether a color last longer or not. It's for the purpose of the color coming more vibrant and out. 10 is more for natural coloring, 10 vol is fine though since you were dying with a dark dye. If you wish to go lighter then you'd need to go up with a higher vol like 20. (: hope this helps with your question.

oh gosh, don't use nail polish remover to get it off your skin >.< it's so drying. I usually use soap and water, baby oil or just any kinda of thick lotion to get it off

use vasoline for the hair line to avoid color stains. They also sell color remover. I think it should be noted that she used a 10v developer so it became like a demi-permanent. I would strongly advise NOT to ever use permanent black dye because it will never come out and you will have to grow it all out. Yes, I did it and the grow out sucked. the blue/black turned reddish over time and was super ugly. But here it looks nice and smart to go with 10v.

@jess16saint don't use box color, it is awful. Use a professional line. Tons of legit websites like sleekhair and others sell pro dye. Also use a low volume developed like this girl did, 10v. Black dye is the only one that has to be cut out so be careful. I ended up here because I was looking for ways to fade dark brown that looks almost black, yikes!

@EmptySpriteCan i actually do think hair color makes a big difference in the way someone's eyes, skin, etc. looks. this black/blue reallly made my eyes stand out! they looked brighter to me. it's weird because i love dark hair with blue eyes, but also with dark eyes like brown because it makes someone look so mysterious & exotic. i love blonde hair with green or hazel eyes... idk so many options! haha i could go on and on
