No, it takes so long because the car is slow. JRSC is only good for maybe 140-150whp in a miata. It's because they gave it that tiny M45 blower which holds the car back. The newer M62 based kits are much stronger.
Yeah, thats a jackson kit. They are good and reliable, but go for the mp62 with a lot more upgrade potential. Im changing my jackson for an mp62 kit, my set up now is m45 jackson, 62.5 mm pulley, emanage ultimate, tdr intercooler, and the crank pulley, and got 182 whp in my 2002 miata. That is about the baseline power for a stage one mp62, and they can go up to 300 whp. But the miata will safely hold only about 240 whp before things start breaking up, jejeje...
nice, supercharger is next on my list for my 1991 miata, sounds like it'll be sweet.
one thing though, where were you when you did this? i guess not a place where you could really open it up, because no offense, those granny shifts can be a whole lot faster.
keep in mind, the short nose is a racepie for disaster when extra weight is added to it (supercharger pulley and torque)
I had a 1.8 and had similar plans until i found the entire crank shaft was trashed because the nose design of the crank in those things is very bad. Ended up replacing the crank and selling the car.

Yes, with FM link and a 62,5mm nose pulley. Gives me about 8 psi after the IC.
But go for the m62 blower.. StageOnetuning (old BRP) sell m62 kits..

The rpm limit is set to 7000 rpm in the ECU. The tachometer is not correct at high rpm.

@blondemax miata engines can spin up to 9000 easily with a rev limiter adjustment. Smaller engines usually spin faster.
