  • Cmon new stuff!

  • @hxc232 Well, if they had the Redpower mod, at least it would be smaller.

  • Cool diashow

  • I'm still proud of my Wooden House!

  • I can't imagine how large a working computer would be! Boy, when computers were first invented, they took up the size of a room. But this is ridiculous!

  • @eah2119 yeah if a modern computer was built entirely of the valves and stuff we had 30-40 years ago it would be the size of a large building, a supercomputer could be up to the size of a skyscraper, and in minecraft the circuits are scaled up like 50 times, i wouldn't even want to begin to imagine how much work would go into making an actual computer in minecraft lol

  • You should have had pressure plates set up so when you moved up and down they also moved the pong bumper.

  • get a life

  • That'sssssSSSSssSs a very nice game you have there, it would be a sssssssSsSssSSsSSSShame if something happened to it...

It would suck if a creeper blew it up

  • What happened? How did you die? Did you overdose? Tell me!!!

  • @grovyle97 your comment made me laugh so I just wanted to give you a quick thank you c:

  • Such megalithic design!

  • Isnt there supposed to be a line the middle.........just sayin.

  • Awe Inspiring!

  • He is dead

  • Why not glowstone? Or lapis lazuli?

  • Awesome! Though may I ask... why dirt?

  • When you finish, make the redstone torch a big bright red blob in the texture pack so we can make it out better and it's off state the same as the board blocks!! Please Consider

  • 2:48

    That's what she said

  • WHEN WILL IT BE DONE!?!?!?

  • Ima be playing first person shooters in minecraft if this man keeps this shit up.

  • What the fuck.............................

  • If dead, please do respond.

  • So... How is it going with girls?

  • ooh im still waiting for you, comming with awesome stuff

dont need to be pong, anything please

  • how's your sanity getting along?

  • How's it goin and where have the vids been

  • umm did you finish it?

  • Extist a second guy who can bild so what??

  • Are you even human?

  • Hows it going?

Are you still going for it, its been 6 months....

  • Tsssssssssssss.........

  • @SoonToBeAwesome good luck with doing it without lagg.

  • Are you still working on it?

  • I understand!!!

I shall attempt to make one also!

  • @indago9 :P

  • what do you use to talk in your videos?

  • @Divinusxiphias Probably a microphone, but I'm just guessing.

  • @Davve941018 i mean what kind of like video recording does he do because i use fraps and i cant record shit with my voice in it

  • Isn´t it done soon?

  • The display driver for the center seems awfully complicated. Using a counternullification mechanism, right?

  • Fantastic project. I started a smaller project a while ago but I had terrible trouble with syncing the outputs, then when I finally got that working I download a new version of Minecraft and all the clocks stop working in just that world :( and for some reason no matter how hard I try I can't get them going again.

  • You've build a freaking PC man, with a graphic card onboard and memory and shit.

    Oh mah holy gawd !

Minecraft capabilities is the only thing that holds your potential.

  • How and why are you still playing alpha?

  • @matthewj234 this video is the day before minecraft went into beta

  • Guys we should all make a MASSIVE server, and work together to make a fully functional Super Mario Bros. redstone game in minecraft. with all of us working as much as possible, it could be done in about a year or two... just imagive super mario bros on a giant redstone screen in minecraft!

  • @SoonToBeAwesome you think its possible with only latches, or, not, and gates? delayer? hummmmm GOOD LUCK BUDDY

  • @vinizz11 I said it would take a few years cuz it would take up an area that you wouldnt even be able to see the end of on far render distance. you must not understand english. -_-

  • @SoonToBeAwesome amybe your sentences lack of structure, but you are kinda right , english is not my first language

  • You're insain!

  • I just figured out how to wire twin Iron Doors to open. And the mechanics on the minecart systems/boosters. And that made me feel like a genius. After watching your vids I suddenly feel retarded.

  • 117 redstone torches? WOOOW !!!

  • hmm. can somebody point my in the direction of a easy projeect for a beginner to cpus in minecraft. im very good at redstone but i havent gotten into cpu's yet

  • sooooo...... when r u going to finish it have you given up?? comment back pls

  • Ah man. Your last two videos were 3 days apart, but that was 4 months ago! You haven't given up, have you? This is amazing, I am in full support of you.

  • 2:42 that's what she said!

  • @MattGeogheganMusic not to you i bet! ;D

  • well, that's a nice everything you got there... sSssSSSsssSSssSS

  • can you show us how to make it, i dont give a fuck if its magic i just want to know how to make(build it), tutorial?

  • Tutorial!! :)

  • Wheres some more videos

  • oh god i hate your texture pack....no offence, cool vid tho

  • Why does he not upload videos anymore? ):

  • At the end of the video he sits there thinking: Okay, fuck this.

  • I see three possibilities...

    1. You had a whole lot more people working on this than just you.

    2. You work for Notch and this is somehow your job as some kind of developer.

    3. You don't eat or sleep.

  • @genobahamut1337

    OR

he simply works with electronics on daily basis and seein the way to build circuits is way easier for him.

(I mean.. I doubt he spent more time on building this than we waste on some moderate building)

  • @EdTheBadass Obviously he knows enough to understand how redstone works. Even with knowing that, a structure like this would still take a long time for just one person to do. So yes, I do think he spent more time building this than we do on some moderate building. I'd compare it more to one of us building a shopping mall, or something even bigger.

  • I can't wait to see the system calculating the X and Y intergrated movement ^^

  • The and gate will flip on the next memory and turn the current memory off. The only thing you need is a safety system (I have one) that prevents the chain to jump several times during one signal. Then theres a mirrored system going the other way ( - ).

Im not very good explaning my redstone but i know how to use it. Its due to im self tought so Im not experienced with the proper wordings. I have a Redstonesim of this system working. Tell me if you want to see it.

  • For counting I used T flip flops in the past. I designed another way to do it by coincident. The good think with it is that it needs no arithmetical unit to calculate the t flip flops. I use a chain of memories. Each memory representing 1 nummer. Like 1 2 3 and so on. The chain works like this that a signal is connected to an and gate, the other input is connected to the output of the previous memory. This makes the memory advance one step along the chain for each pulse from the signal.

  • Would it be easier to see if u put a giant roof over the whole thing, and put torches where the players are (so they can see the controls)?

  • For all of you who are upset that he just kinda quit youtube, and were looking forward to this, check out my channel, I have a fully functional pong game, with singleplayer AND multiplayer as well as a bonus singleplayer mode. Im the only one who has multiplayer on a pong game so come check it out!

  • Did you give up on this?

  • omg my head hurt only to look at this ^^

great mind u have to find logic in redstone...

  • you created a videogame, within a videogame... i have to admit i thought at first "this guy has too much time on his hands" and then i realized that if it wasnt for people like you minecraft wouldnt be nearly as interesting as it is. so thank you my good man for finding new and entertaining ways to use redstone.

  • Holy shit!

  • ASWSOME! when is next video comming?

  • Yay i gave you the 50th like :-) nice... love to see this kind of mc videos!

  • You should really consider getting this project public to get a really good job in electrical engineering / programming / design. Who knows? Maybe in 2 years you'll be making 200k a year thanks to Minecraft and Notch ;]

  • No, please don't do this, don't start making video games within video games, it just shouldn't be...

  • @NexCarnifex LittleBigPlanet2.

  • @CanadiensUnplugged That's just a level generator, there is no meta-games within it.

  • forgive me for my stupidity if im wrong but aren't you kind of recreating a simple computer that on binary in a computer game if you r that is pure AWESOMENESS recreating the computer in a game thats simply amazing

  • you sir. is making an easy, simple game FREAKING HARDCORE!

  • Next couple of days?

  • wow. imagine this with the new repeaters :D

  • um... i think you have WAY to much time to yourself... but wth that thing is fucking amazing

  • Do you generally get such low frame rates? Or is is just from recording?

  • @101Blasphemy101 when build with a lot of redstone it impacts framerate, especially while recording

  • @TheJessassin Ah, it also happens when you use a ton of repeaters now :\

  • @101Blasphemy101 really? I haven't really noticed that while building my ALU... i'll pay more attention but I think they are actually faster than torches are

  • @TheJessassin You don't really notice until you start making infinite loops with repeaters.. xD

  • I cant wait for that new block uuggghhh

  • but Will It Blend?

  • tweek the texture pack so that the redstone torch is a solid redblock, it makes it much easyer to see

  • how to you build these, do you place every block one by one in the game or do you use another program to help you create these?

  • why u guys always talk soooooooooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooowly -.-

  • get a girlfriend, ya fuckin nerd!

  • @MrSqueakyBootz im sure you get all the ladies with that username.... trololol

  • did you topple a mountain or something?

  • can you explain to me how magnets work?

  • Redstone is now a new way to do low-level programmation :)

  • I fucking swear, calculators look like a baby's toy right now.

  • you are a very brilliant man, and it is amazing that you are doing this.

  • ... i thought my double doors were cool...

  • Yeah, I built a house today.

  • and i thought i was smart being able to program on a ti-84 calculator O_O awesome

  • Damn, and I have trouble getting my iron door to open right.

  • @TheTurtleman9 haha :D made my day, ty bro :D:D

  • @TheTurtleman9 TROLOLO

  • @TheTurtleman9

I Cant Even Get Iron Doors To Open...

  • @TheTurtleman9 i can open an iron door ^^ with redstone

  • I like how you made the ball. That is smart!

  • why haven't you been updating recently?

p.s. thanks, you inspired me to make an 8 bit calculator, which I just completed

  • you should make a red stone battle ship

  • you've got allot of time on your hands lol

  • Hey theres a mod that uses lightstone to make torches like redstone torches but it has pretty much built in flip flop, so if it has no power and you press a button itll stay on till you press the button again. if you download that mod im sure itll help you make this project easier.

  • 4.19 (thats not that complicated) ehh yes it is lol

  • dude u are legendary, great work

  • Update vid plz

  • Can you make another update like soon? This month possibly? I'm sure we're all excited to see what you have done!

  • Dude no homo I fukin love your red stone stuff your coding efin pong in minecraft

  • once you are finished you should show us it working. then blow it up with tnt. you should record that with a handheld camera though so it won't destroy your computer.

that would be a way to finish a project.

    p.s.

if you would like to save it and show us blowing it up. copy the save file and put onto desktop. so once you destroy the map you could bring the thing back!!!

    =D

  • I'm just posting because I want to stress how awesome this is. I'm at a loss for words (partly because it's 8AM, and I did NOT just get up, if you know what I mean), so unfortunately it's beyond my abilities at the moment to do anything coherent. As I said, you're great, keep it up!

  • In creating this thing, I would imagine the display being the trickiest part to build.

  • ok i am confused on something, i understand counters and toggle flip flops just fine... and i have a working 5 and 4 bit on my world, but i dont know how u go from simple counters making them move things, im not asking for a tutorial on how to do this entire pong thing, just and explanation on how to go from counter to display pixels. if someone could help that would be great! :)

  • thats how big computer use to be.....

  • Man you are crazy. It's really interesting to watch these because you learn a lot about basic computer functions and such. Good luck with the project

  • har, i believe you can make a synchronous counter with jk flipflops, look into it

  • @KohviKoer after looking into it, yes you can make a sync counter with JKs, with redstone though I don't think it is feasible, especially since it needs to be able to count up/down. The simpler solution is still Ts I think. I already know I can sync the output, simply by adding repeaters to delay the higher bits output to the decoder, just have not done it yet in this system, but I have in others. The delay in a JK counter that would do the same would not be faster and would be more complex.

  • @Harbingerx81 well glad i can help a bit. Im really no red expert like you :( but i manage simpler stuff like doubledoors :) waiting for ya next update!

  • Do you have a computer backround or did you study computer science in school because I would just like to know were you learned all this

  • @Cubs54231 Self taught...Learned a couple programming languages for fun...Picked up a breadboard and a ton of components and used the internet to learn basic electrical theory and CMOS logic as a hobby...Between the two redstone is a perfect fit...Programming to figure out the steps needed, electrical theory to make them happen.

  • @Harbingerx81 do you know any good websites off the top of your head

  • @Harbingerx81 You, sir, are an inspiration.

  • That's a nice 117 redstone torches in a single inventory slot you have there.

  • @Toksyuryel Yeah, I don't feel there is anything wrong with using InvEdit when you are making things that take over 15k redstone dust and 4k torches.

  • @Harbingerx81 My stance on the matter is that until there's a new Creative mode that includes all the new stuff that's been added to the game since Survival, inventory hacking on Peaceful is perfectly acceptable. I was unaware that you could go over 64 in one slot that way though. What is the actual limit, for reference?

  • @Toksyuryel using InvEdit you can go up to 255. Once you do that it no longer displays the number in your inventory...Going that high can do some strange things though, like if you pick up one more of that item it resets the stack back to 0, or if you have a maxed stack in your hand and say, punch a sheep, it will completely disappear.

  • @Harbingerx81 Inventory stack size is one byte, but minecraft is horrible with handling things over 64

  • @Toksyuryel 255. each inventory slot gets 8bits for the quantity of the item it holds

  • ok i have noticed a slight problem, you have counters, and if they are asynchronous, not synchronus then the counter output will lag each bit a bit, and this can make the "ball" pixel jump to random locations.

  • @KohviKoer Yeah, I have mentioned that a couple times...Right now they are all async, once I have everything working properly I am going to go back and sync them up to take out the ripple effect.

  • looking good man!

  • That looks good!

  • That looks very good! You're keeping everything very logical and clear so far, which means no chance for mistakes. It's probably going to get finished faster then mine did because of no debugging overhead...

Hopefully balancing invertors so that the ball doesn't blink around while flying works.

  • @van0fizmat Syncing everything for the ball movement should be pretty easy...The paddle movement is going to be a bit trickier. The X and Y axis are going to each have a separate constant bit to control direction, the paddles rely on a properly timed pulse from the push buttons, so the timing on them is a bit odd.

  • Oooh that's how you do the ball! :o That's quite smart! :D

  • Damit not first

  • ooh goodie an update

  • looks so hard to make lol

  • wait.. i.. i just saw.. him. he's there... abandon your save, harbinger... it's him!

  • @Ayomide345 lol when?

post a time, i wanna see him XD
