I always hate digital amp. Not just the sound but also when it circuit damage you have to change the whole goddamn modules except the speaker and box.

A lot of these ad30vt demos are BS. I had the amp and it didn't get the tones they're doing. I suspect they've changed out the speaker and maybe play through outboard effects. Another word of warning, the amp models don't react well to outboard effects. I tried it and it sucked.

The AD##VT line isn't as good as this other Vox I tried. I forgot what the name of it was, but I know it had a fabric grill instead of that nasty metal one. It was a hybrid amp, I think these are just full digital....

the ADVT series is the hybrid. if the amp you played had effects and models like the ADVT, it was probably the DA series, which is full on digital.

Nevermind, it turns out that it was the AD120VT. The other guitarist in pit owned one, but he was selling it. They don't have metal grills though.

i get this tone. you just have to have patience. anyway vox and marshall are both the same company. i found this out the other day!

Read up in the manual, because the EQ settings for different models can mean different things and they all react very authentically to the EQ settings.

Also, you have to ask yourself how good your guitar really is. I have an Epi Plain-Top les paul that I play out of and I get sweet, rich tone all over the place with mine.

I have that amp. Sooooooo Good! You just get so much for your money. I have mine set to pretty dirty but that Vox sparkle still manages to show through.

Would you reccomend the VOX XL? Or anybody? I play alots of metal/death. Would a distortion pedal be good on this too?

The XL is for more high gain, a distortion pedal is overkill with high gain amp models. if you got the regular vox vt then you could use a distortion pedal on the clean channels.

why would you get this amp if you wanted to play more modern death metal stuff knowing full well that its not as good as an XL?

this guy plays 80's metal like me thats why we have this amp rather than getting an xl

I have this amp and it is amazing for what it costs. You can get really expensive sounding studio and live effects very easily. It is a little hard to control because the buttons are kinda stupid but the effects are the best that I've ever heard anywhere.
