@FreekinEkin2 Claudia didn't seem cheesy or cliche to me, she was obsessed with god and hoped that the world would be saved when ''god'' was born. she's obviously not the ''im evil just because'' type of character. unlikey other villians in games today, she actually had a motive. and not an evil one either.
@X360M When she opened her mouth the babble that came out was attrocious. Yes, it is possible to argue that there were reasons behind that, just as I could probably make some good points as to why Tomb Raider II is the greatest work of English of all time, At the end of the day, it isn't hard to give a character a motive, characters have to have multi-facetted personas, not just be one dimensional. Characters should undergo some great realisation, plus have some kind of struggle for identity.

Secondly, that ''babble'' you speak of is just her way of how she was taught to speak. her childhood was one big religious life, so it comes off as no suprise of how she speaks and sees things around her differently.
@X360M Talking to you has been great because it has forced me to remember/revise English Literature. A story shouldn't be designed around a character, and not visa versa. It could be because I live in England (and despite bullshit surveys) about 97% of the population is atheist, so we don't get many of your religious types. But it isn't just her, the guy there (I can't remember his name) speaks the same, there were more appropriate idiolects that could've been used.

As you see, Vincent was still in touch of reality, while Claudia was completely obsessed with God. hence why she was the better and more suitable villian.
@X360M Their voices don't convey an accurate message to an audience. We get the idea that they're obsessed with God, but their sense of morality isn't fully explained. When villains start to justify themselves they're supposed to raise some decent questions that make an audience think about if the hero is really a hero, eventually concluding that they are but having a decent understanding of the moral situation. I don't think this concept is aplicable to SH3, so the characters are 1 dimensional.

@xXTheMizSucksXx The one off Thir13en Ghosts? It was for the last ghost to appear to finish the process of the machine's purpose. Basically, someone of pure heart had to jump into it, effectively sacrificing themselves, although it had to be for a pure reason. In the movie, it was a father and his kids sat in the middle of it. His uncle, the creator, chose his brother to be the last ghost.
Even though people say that this game was one of the worst SH games, I actually kind of liked it... It's just so scary and creepy that gives me second thoughts about playing this game while the lights are off

Personally in terms of horror, RE doesn't hold a candle to this. Sure it's nice and all, but its not particularly frightening aside from a few random ear piercing noises. Other than that it's mostly just action really. I'd say SH has, hands down, a better fear factor than RE. Why? Cause of trippy shit like this.

If they make a third silent hill movie it should definitely be about this game. The controls and such where not "great" but the story was amazing. very dark and just Walter himself would make a good movie villain. just imagine this whole scene but with actual actors watching it at the movies..ehh 3d..
Well there's a strong debate about whether games should be turned into movies or not. Sure the fans want it but when they actually create the movie it either sucks or is somewhat decent. So I'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming 2nd one and I'll be crossing my fingers to hope that it's okay
@TheBravethunder ehh. most video game movies aren't as good as the game. Look at the silent hill movie...Good..but not GREAT. I would rather them make a "ehh" or "blehh" video game movie about this..and leave the Masterpiece that is Silent Hill 2 alone. In my honest opinion.
@Jond892 I don't know if they'd actually make a Silent Hill movie based off of this one in particular, considering it wasn't even supposed to be a Silent Hill game to begin with, or rather Team Silent didn't work on it, but the second Silent Hill movie they're skipping the 2nd game and going to the third which sucks, I suppose a female character is more appealing to people? Hence why they made the mom go to Silent Hill rather then Harry in the first movie.

you know when i was playing this game, eileen kept on going in the dumb thing and then all i hear is AHHHHHH!
so im like, son of a batch of cookies! and then i thought, okay it would be awesome if henry would climb up the stairs and grab eileen and then put her away from the spinning thing, and then finish off the monster, but then again, the final boss wouldnt be so intense would it..hmmm.
@guilhermewolfman if eileens dying all the time you either : are too slow killing walter OR havent protected her good during the game. Try To finish off walter with 2 Full Charged Strikes with the Pickaxe and some shots from the Pistol. And Heal Eileen during the game with a holy candle, just put it on the ground and wait near it. You will see eileens wounds and the posession getting alot weaker. I did that three times and in the boss fight eileen stepped forward only every 12 seconds or so
yeah the pickaxee is slow,try tp dodge waltees attacks while charging, and it does massive damage if u hit him fully charged. To do that, make sure that walter is near the big demon, pierce it with the last spear and use the time while walter is down on his knees to charge up the pickaxe. try to hit him another time fully charged.use the pistol instead of the revolver, because the stun pretends walter from harming you and it has more amo which makes up for the low damage IMO =)

@XxDeathFox0xX thats why its good, its diferent but the story is somewhat connected to the second game with walter killing people for the 21 sacriments. something you would have come across in silent hill 2 plus the superintendant on this game is the farther of james from the second game. i see it as silent hill 2's side story.

you know when i was playing this game, eileen kept on going in the dumb thing and then all i hear is AHHHHHH!
so im like, son of a batch of cookies! and then i thought, okay it would be awesome if henry would climb up the stairs and grab eileen and then put her away from the spinning thing, and then finish off the monster, but then again, the final boss wouldnt be so intense would it..hmmm.

@guilhermewolfman if eileens dying all the time you either : are too slow killing walter OR havent protected her good during the game. Try To finish off walter with 2 Full Charged Strikes with the Pickaxe and some shots from the Pistol. And Heal Eileen during the game with a holy candle, just put it on the ground and wait near it. You will see eileens wounds and the posession getting alot weaker. I did that three times and in the boss fight eileen stepped forward only every 12 seconds or so

@Sophiequeen18 I did used the candles even before the scene were eileen got away from henry efore final boss, but still she walks too fast
I´m in hard mode so walter dont die easy, actually I used all my revolver bullets and still he didn´t die!
:P
and btw the picaxe is slow as hell

yeah the pickaxee is slow,try tp dodge waltees attacks while charging, and it does massive damage if u hit him fully charged. To do that, make sure that walter is near the big demon, pierce it with the last spear and use the time while walter is down on his knees to charge up the pickaxe. try to hit him another time fully charged.use the pistol instead of the revolver, because the stun pretends walter from harming you and it has more amo which makes up for the low damage IMO =)

The storyline was good in this game, but the gameplay sucked.
