STUNNING! I GREW UP IN STATEN ISLAND, NY.. WHERE ALL YOU SEE IS "CADDYS", UNTOUCHED, ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION... THIS ONE, IS "BEAUTIFUL"!!! YOUR LUCKY....
why not a 4.1 engine? I currently have one and have owned three previous...Never had any trouble...I love my "Creampuff" she is a four door white with red leather, she is a sweet ride...
@kimdenise200 I agree. 4.1 was the only engine offered in 85. I have owned MANY 4.1 Cadillacs and not one gave me trouble. They are a bit anemic but hey, its a Cadillac not a race car.
Summer of '42 sound track is totally excellent for such a car. I had a 4-door '85 Brougham in white also. It was the best car I ever owned. Today's cars may be high tech, but they are no where near as comfortable as the old one's. The 4.1L was high-maintenance, but the light-weight aluminum V8 made handling much easier, could track like it was on rails. Best Caddy ever made.
@JBC814 from 81-89, Cadillac put 4.1L and 4100 aluminum block engines in most of their models. starting in '88, Cadillac got away from these kind of engines and went back to bigger, powerful engines. then it slowly evolved into the Northstar engines(4.6 amd 4.9 dual cam). bottom line is Caddys are NOT made for hard driving, hot rodding maniacs. they are LUXURY cars and should be treated as such.
@bigguy43055 The name is "The Picasso Suite-Theme from Summer of 42" The artist is "Silent Sounds by Deise Mikhail" and the album is "Cafe del Mar:Dreams, Vol 3" If you cant find it give me your email and I will email it to you ;)
@JMMoosey Thats a good question. All of my 85 and older Cadillacs have had the GM seatbelt button, but yet the 90-92 Broughams I have owned have had the Cadillac wreath and crest. Im assuming that transition was somewhere between 86 and 89.
Those Caddies were so beautifully made. And all the lines and parts on it are extremely delicate which made them look almost "airy" and light on their feet when they moved. I like modern luxury cars too, but I feel more and more that if You pulled up in front of the opera with this, next to a new Rolls Phantom, the Caddy would draw much more attention. And deservedly so. Its got much more sparkle and interesting details to discover. Just as it is with people.
That's one of the rearest and cleanest Fleetwood Broughams coupes I have ever seen. This is when cadillac knew how to make cars I do like some of there new
cars of today DTS,STS but it is something differant when you see a car that is this rear and clean.
my favorite cads are the 75 coupe deville and the 90 brougham

As I remember Cadillac, after this model year everything fucked up at cadillac, and today cadillac is nothing but copy´s of OPEL/Vauxhall cars..
This One is the last of the great Cadillac´s....

Did they not have Cadillac specific seat belt buckles until the late 80's or early 90's? I noticed that this one just had "GM" seat belt buckles.
