I HAVE A QUESTION.. THE ZURDOS O THE BASS DRUM THEY EMPLEAD ARE TRADICONALS OR THEY NO HAVE THE ZURDO ORIGINAL... THANKS.. barranquilla colombia!!

  • @willtamborero These drums are traditional, for sure. They are not zurdos, they are named "alfaias" and are made of goat leather, ropes and wood. The verses of this song speak about alfaias made of "macaiba" or "macaibeira", which is a palmtree native from Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, Venezuela, Dominica, Martinica and Brasil. The macaiba is a heavy-strong wood, that provides a grave and perfect sound, peculiar to maracatu. Greetings from Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil! :-)
