We travelled from the UK to Oz & then onto Little Oz & on the railway from Strahan to Queenstown in 2003, which was a good day out with excellent & often hilarious commentary from the guard. Well worth a visit.
i will make it down to tassie one day for sure, always liked the mt lyell line from reading books about it, never thought it would get rebuilt, good to see, and definitely going to ride that train one day, love the sound of steam and abt rack in the vid'
that brought back a lot of memories, i walked across the bridge at the king river gorge many times, and it never ceased to scare the hell out of me lol i also have turned that loco on the dubbil barril turntable many a time too! i wonder if that was jamie and mark driving the loco
I am driving to Tassie this year in my 1970 HT Monaro and the highlight is going to be a trip on this train!

This really captures the sound of the rack and adhesion engines in the loco working together.

You'd have to think that there are places that no white fellas have ever set foot. She's pretty rugged on the west coast.
